    Yes. You may ask a question to either to the whole panel of advisors, or privately to an individual advisor. If asked to the panel, the first available advisor will answer your question. Only advisors qualified in the relevant field will attempt to answer your question. You are welcome to direct a question to an individual advisor, as selected in the Advisor Directory, but you may face a delay in getting an answer depending on when the advisor is available. If response speed is important to you, please ask your question to the panel.

  • Is There A Fee To Ask A Question?

    When you ask a question, a one-time fee of $18.95 opens up a dialogue between you and the pet advisor answering your question.   • Do I Have To Register In Order To Ask A Question?

    Yes, a brief registration process for you and your pet is required for two reasons:

    1. So we may contact you with the answer, and
    2. So we may answer your question better.

    Our simple pet registration involves checking boxes for characteristics such as species, breed, sex, age and relevant medical history all vital details that provide our advisors the information needed to provide detailed, relevant answers to your questions.

  • Will I Always Be Notified By Email When An Advisor Answers Me?

    Yes. When you ask your question, you will be emailed as soon as an Advisor replies. This is so you get your answer as soon as possible. You can, however, turn this feature off if you don't want email notifications. Just go to your My Control Panel and update your notification preferences. Yes.   • What If I Wish To Ask A Question, But Need To Be Away From My Computer For A Period Of Time?

    If you plan to be offline after asking a question, just indicate when you plan to be back online when you post your question. This way, we will know to expect a delay in hearing from you when we post your answer or when we ask you for more information in order to answer your question better.

  • What Do I Do If I Don't Like The Answer I Get?

    The Advisors are trying to help you, so please give as much detail as you can when asking. If you feel they are missing the point, please clarify your question. They may have misunderstood you and will then attempt to provide a better answer.

    This is an opportunity for you to give the Advisor some feedback on the quality of their answer. The advisors take pride in the quality of their answers and like to get an idea of customer satisfaction. It also enables the Televets team to monitor advisor performance.

  • What Is The Question Archive?

    The Question Archive | Homepage is a collection of previously asked pet questions and their corresponding answers. These are typically edited to remove any personal details, and categorized by species and symptom to help you find relevant questions. You may also Search The Archive if you aren't sure which category your question falls under. Most of the health problems and behavioural issues that pets suffer from will have been encountered by other pet owners in the past, so you are welcome to browse our question archive for free before you ask us a new question.   • Is There A Fee To Access The Answers In The Question Archive?

    You can check the question archive for free to see whether an identical or similar question has been asked before. If you see your question there, a payment of only $1.00 unlocks the answer. As an added bonus, your $1.00 payment gains you full access to all of the answers in the question archive for 24 hours!

  • I've Paid $1.00 To Access The Question Archive, But Still Haven't Found The Answer I Am Looking For, Can I Get A Refund?

    Unfortunately, we cannot give refunds in these situations. However, if you didn't find what you were looking for in the question archive, feel free to ask your question to the Televets advisors. If you do this within your 24-hour archive access period, you only pay $5 for a new question.
