My 10 year old shituz is chewing himself untill his hair is gone and he bleeds, HIs nails are over grown but he wont let me any were near him. He has chewed his face feet and back up. he is very nippy and I have to keep him away from the kids because i worry hill bite, is there any thing i can do or would it be best to put him down??

Absesses ?
Posted on 2008/02/09 by UserMy puppy about 2 weeks ago had his face some up swollen .. I treated him with antibiotics , benadryl ... Now he has absesses showing up all over his body , and his face (around his mouth) is really raw ...Any ideals what couuld be going on ?

Hoping for help with sensitive ears

He has very sensitive ears, and has had problems with them before, however now they are oozing a smelly yellow pink liquid and I need a fix to help him they are obviously bothering him, but I just dont have a great vet to go to to get some help. Is there anything you can suggest to help get him better

It is growing in size as he won't stop scratching it. It doesn't appear infected and we are trying to put ointment on it as often as we can. Any ideas on what to do?

i think my dog is dying
Posted on 2008/02/20 by rebeccai think my friends dog is dying. its lost most of its hair and the first layer of its skin in a lot of places. hes covered in scabs and raw skin. hes really sick and doesnt want to eat and hes just laying there and even when he puts his head up he keeps his eyes closed. hes in a lot of pain. and he starts heaving and breathing heavy and i think its death rattles. what can we do? its the middle of the night and we cant even go to a pet hospital because they require a $500 deposit and we dont have it. what can i do?

Stray cat dilemma
Posted on 2008/03/05 by UserSmoky is a stray but really good friends with my officially owned cat Lassie i noticed a while ago that smoky had been badly injured and left with a slight limp and scarring on about 1/8 of his body he has been around my house a while and i wanted to know if it would be possible to give this cat a home when he is untrusting of people and if i could get him to a vet because i really would not like to fall back on the alternative animal control

Cracked bleeding nose

Pepper has a very dry cracked nose that is bleeding a couple times a day for the last week I am unable to get him to the vet at this moment but intend to ASAP. He was given medication last summer at a emergency hospital for the same condition they seemed to think by the looks of it was a auto immune disease the meds cured him for awhile but never cured the dryness of his nose which I was told to put KY jelly on to keep moist the last 2 weeks his nose has been terrible it bleeds and is sore and cracked he is contantly licking it which makes it worse I have him on 3 benedryl every 5 to 6 hours ( 100lb dog) it helps with the...
