I am desperate to have my Dottie seen by a vet. She has open wounds and goop in both ears. She is getting aggressive when anyone touches her ears. I am willing to work off any money spent on the care of my Dottie. What can I do?

swollen/lump around groin area
Posted on 2009/08/04 by UserMy dog has had an on and off swelling on his groin for the last year and no one will do anything more up until recently than give us anti-biotics and send us on our way. It is now leaking, they have done an ultrasound but it was inconclusive. They now want to do an MRI and Biopsy before they will do anything else. He also has Kidney disease which we just found out and have only started the battle on that and he is responding well to his medicine and get's monthly labs. Why would an ultrasound be inconclusive, shouldn't they be able to rule out some things? I have a picture of the swelling as well. If my dog keeps licking and licking the area does that mean he is in pain...

My hedgehog
Posted on 2009/08/06 by ErikaHi, I have a female hedgehog. This morning I took her out of her cage to play with her when I noticed that she has scabs on her face. She was also bleeding from her forehead and there seems to be a rash on it. Also, her front paws are swollen and one of them are bleeding and some of her claws are falling off. Should I see a vet with her, do you have any suggestion on how to treat her other than the vet

haematoma post-surgury issue
Posted on 2009/08/07 by Sidanthimy dog had a haematoma surgically removed seven days ago.i apply Fucidin on the entire surgury area as my vet has told me to do so. the vet had given her a long lasting anti-biotic after surgury as well.we keep an e- collar on her to keep her from scratching the area.but she does flip her ear now and then pretty forcefully. i noticed today that there is a slight red line on a part of her ear, about 1 cm long, i can see a tiny but of flesh. .should i be concerned about the red line? is there something i should do about it? any medication i should apply on it?

Dog problem
Posted on 2009/08/09 by UserWe noticed a small lump the size of an eraser underneath my dogs jaw. Within 4 days it was the size of a golf ball. This morning, it popped and alot of blood and puss oozed out. The size of the area has decreased back to eraser size, however, he is acting more lethargic and different than his normal self. Please let me know what you think

allergies and colloidal silver
Posted on 2009/08/09 by Usermy boxer dog suffers with allergies all year round, dust mites and pollen affect her the worst. she is currently on atopica 100mg once a day (a lower dose is not as affective) although this works for her she gets an upset stomach and we struggle to get the tablet into her every day (very stressful for both of us) also it works out quite expensive (200 euros a month). have you ever treated a dog successfully with colloidal silver?

skin condition
Posted on 2009/08/15 by UserA couple of days ago I noticed some red spots underneath the chin and back of the head on my 4 year old Rottweiler. I have been cleaning them with warm water and the problem got no worse. When I woke up this Morning he had been scratching at it. The area has become inflamed, red, and pussy, there is quiet a strong odour and it seems to be sore to the touch. He doesn’t seem to be paying it much attention and has continued to eat. He doesn’t seem to be as full of energy as normal and won’t leave my side. I have tried to contact my vets but have been unsuccessful, do you know what it might be? And what action should I take till he can be seen by a vet?
