Just today, I noticed these bald spots on my dog, and it hurts when I just barely touch a couple centimeters away from the spot. I have pictures that I took, maybe you can identify what it is. I'd take him to the vet but my parents are too cheap to even consider it without knowing exactly what it is first. Non-healing Sore
Posted on 2009/07/22 by UserMy dog has a big sore on top of his ear from scratching a tick bite. He's been fitted with an elizabethan collar by our local vet, but after cleaning it with peroxide and neosporin regularly, per the same vet, it still won't heal. Is there something else I should be doing? Or am I doing something wrong?

Black Scab on my dog's neck
Posted on 2009/07/24 by UserMy dog Cooper itches a lot... our vet has no idea of what it could be except that "some dogs are just itchy". Yeah, he's no help. Anyways, my dog has recently formed this black scab about 2" in diameter on his neck on the left side. I washed him today and made sure to clean it up good -- it is kind of oozie but is black along the edges and pink in the middle. I washed it with a rag and he didn't flinch or yelp, I think it actually felt good. Any ideas?? He has had it since Sunday and we flea dropped him a week ago. It's been in the upper 80's all month as well.

Very sick kitty Pugsley
Posted on 2009/07/25 by HeatherMy cat was attacked by a dog I believe. He is sore to the touch on his back and side as well as has a limp leg. He isn't eating or drinking and has shallow breathing. There are no vets local to my area and was wondering if there was anything I could do to make Pugsley more comfortable?
