My cat was missing for over 24 hours and she finally came home today and was groggy. I took her in the house, gave her a bath and noticed that most of the claws on here back feet were missing like she had been declawed. The remaining back claws and front claws are split and broken. There is also a spot on the top of her head that looks like it has been shaved and she was wet when she came home. I feel like this was done intentionally, and what kind of vet treatment would she require?

"Toby has been scratching constantly, he has a sore that will not heal at the base of his tail, his skin appears pink and irritated, along with a loss of hair. I noticed today as he sat on the porch steps, he was having involuntary spasms in his back haunches, hind quarter of his body, that is. What could cause this and what should I do. Can I give him antibiotics....such as...amoxi drop(amoxillin)?

Open wounds
Posted on 2009/07/18 by UserI had to remove bandaging from my dog's front right leg, as he developed a deep pocket of blood behind his 'elbow' from a small cut. He is currently taking prednisone for arthritis in his lower back and our vet stated that this is what caused this bursting of blood. Our care directions indicate that we should not put more pads on this wound, but it is very open. She stated that it would scab over, providing he does not lick at it. He is taking antibiotics as well for this. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Biting and tearing out fur
Posted on 2009/07/21 by papillonMy dog has been itching alot, I give her a biospot application every month and there is not any infestation that I can see. I have also tried using an allergy shampoo on her which seems to work for about a day or I put aloe on to relieve the itching. Usually she has alot of scatches and cuts under her armpits and back legs which usually heal. But this morning I noticed on her back thighs that she has pulled out most of her fur and there are scabs. What can I do?
