Wounds

  • I took my dog into Petco, to be groomed yesterday morning. When we pick them up everything appeared fine, until closer inspection. I noticed my dogs eye was weeping a lot on one side, I called the groomer and she new which eye it was and said it happening a home? Later in the conversion she asked if was bleeding... I thought that was strange. I few hours later I realize he was excessively pawing his eye, thats when i know it happening at the groomers. Because I would have noticed it, he would have been doing it earlier at home. Upon closer in spection I noticed his brow and eye lid area is cut or scratched, I cant tell because of the crusting and weeping arounded the...

  • Please help my kitten

My kitten has small bugs running all over him. The first one crawled out of his eye. The rest are under the fur. He hasnt been outside or in contact with any other animals other this him mum which he left 3 months ago. We have tried washing him but the bugs still remain. They dont jump or bite us and are too big to be fleas. They are the size of the mother human headlice. Most are brown with long shiny bodies. Some have a bigger bum and are more of a yellow colour. My kitten is getting very lathargic and his gums are turning pale. Can you help me?

  • Diagnosis

We just moved into a new place because when living with my in laws, their cats would attack our cat, so we had to keep him locked up. Since moving, he was a lot happier, at first, more social, and his injuries finally started healing up. He had had non cancerous lumps, which after being asperated just showed inflammed tissue. Now, however, he has started becoming reclusive, he's drooling excessively, and doesn't appear to be eating or drinking. Also he cries a lot, he only used to meow if you picked him up, now he wanders around crying when he comes out from hiding. We adopted him two playmates because he is a social cat normally, and he liked the kittens at first, now...

  • reaction to flea/tick treatment

I treated my two dogs with Sergeant's Gold flea and tick sqeeze-on treatment. Both dogs showed signs of sensitivity so I wahed the treatment with mild soap and water as advised on the packaging. One dog is fine. The other has scratched her neck/shoulder area so much that she has two bld spots. The larger is weeping and irritated. What can I put on the areas that will soothe the skin so it wll heal?

  • My cat needs help

My cat Levi is 8 years old, we got her when we moved into our new house, she was 6 months old when we did. She was already nuetered. Now, she won't drink/eat as often, and whenever I used to brush her she used to purr and give off nice loving feelings, but now when I do, she gives off a quit meow, and doesn't like it as much. She also doesn't move around alot. This started 2 days ago. close to sometime in july, my cat got into a fight with another cat, and we hat to take her to a vet, and they gave her a cast on her hind right paw. She healed, and I don't think this has anything to do with it. And my other cat, Cleo, died 2 days before sept. 4th, the start of my new...
