I've noticed that my cat had a patch of fur missing a few weeks ago with a cut and thought it was from a fight. Now she has 2 big open wounds and from her mid stomach to back legs, has no fur. The fur dissapearing and the open wounds are making me nervous. Any ideas?

Hamster abscess
Posted on 2008/04/09 by UserHi, my name is Kristin and i have a pet hamster. I realized just yesterday a huge bulge on her shoulder. I looked up things on the internet and it is an abscess. My family cannot afford to go to a vet clinic right now and I called local vet clinics to find out the cost ($47). I may seem little amount of money but my family is going through a bad time right now money wise. I wnat to know is there anything i can do? Could i drain the abscess myself?

Sore, cracked paw pads

I've only been going out 2 or 3 x a week. We went two days ago and again today. The last time was about a week ago. Today she was pulling back and I knew something was wrong. I stopped and let her sniff and relieve himself but had a hard time getting him running again. Towards the end he was really dragging and limping. When we got home, (we went aprox. a mile) he laid down on the ground and licked his paws. When I inspected them, three of the four were a bit bloody. Inspecting again later because he acted like...

severe laceration
Posted on 2008/05/25 by KENTHobie got hit by a truck this afternoon, he received numerous cuts and abrasions, but the worst one is on his front left leg at joint where his elbow creases. it seem he lost some of his hide and should be stitched. but impossible at this time or anytime soon. we used hydrogen peroxide and gauze and stretch wrap to cover it for now but i dont think he'll leave it .we also used neosporin .question :should we leave it on or let him lick it and redo procedure tomorrow, also what kind of pain med is best? we gave him bufferin. he weighs around 85 lbs.

Cut on bottom of paw

Posted on 2008/08/27 by UserMy puppy has a bad rash that covers most of his face and chest...The area is swollen and red...The bumps are like little white blisters....He is constantly scratching and whimpers if you touch that area....Another puppy out of his litter has the same problem....What is this and is there anything I can put on it that is over the counter?...I don't have the money to take him to the vet right now...

Question about the sore
Posted on 2008/09/06 by UserI had noticed a sore on my dogs nose and she has one on her eye i noticed 3-4 days later. It looks like dry, flaky skin and it is swollen. The one on her nose is red and swollen. i have a pictureof the one by her nose on here. Any possible solution to what is could be?
