my cat was an in door cat til recently he began spray so i had to put him out when we r not home. i Am planing on getting his shots i havnt done that due to money reason(single parent of a 6 yr old) My cat came in two days ago fine. then yesterday he began drooling uncontrollably and was moping and looked like crap now he is still drooling but he is up and aware of everything no bite marks physically he look good now but he drooling still continues What wrong with my little kitty

Will be online for the next 20 to 30 mins but will be online again tomorrow. Up until a few months ago my cat has been of good weight even though he throws up occasionally (prev vets said it was due to chronic hairballs). In Oct 2006 I had a baby and because I was breast feeding did not have much physical contact with Fraidycat except to pet him on the head. A couple months ago I finally took some time to just down and just love on him since I felt like I had not paid him proper attention in quite some time. High biliruben in urine, nothing in blood, low phosphorous

We took him to the vet for a possible UTI and when they checked his urine it showed high amounts of biliruben and crystals. Then a blood count was done and a chemistry. The blood work shows no biliruben, so they said it cant be liver. And the urinalysis had no appearance of UTI by looking at white blood cell count. My dog is on 10mg of prednisone 2x's a day to flush him out and is not doing well on it...From the second dose his behavior changed suddenly and is now very "lethargic". I am terrified and asked my vet tons of ques already.. They said possible Franconis Syndrome but the glucose was fine..The only...

What should I do?
Posted on 2008/02/24 by pattiOver the past month my cat has lost a lot of weight and is starting to develop a patch between his shoulderblades where the fur is gone now. I think its from the weight loss though. The patch is reddish, but not raw or flaky. He doesn't seem to be uncomfortable or in pain, but is having trouble with jumping now. He still purrs and still likes to climb to my lap to be affectionate. He's just started mousing this year. He's 5 years old. Is this metabolism or parasites from the mice and what can I do to get him back to normal? He is absolutely terrified of travel so I'm leery about taking him out and further traumatizing him if I don't have to. Can you help?

Posted on 2008/02/25 by UserMy 7yr 62lb golden Max went to the vet 10days ago with symtoms of not eating, shaking, hind legs seem painful. He has trouble getting up and going down stairs and bending down to go to the bathroom. They took Xrays and he did show a very small amt of arthirtis in lower back and in hips but nothing major. They also did a blood test and all of his organs showed in good health. He has been on antibiotics and rymidal since and it seems like nothing has changed. He will seem like he feels better for a few hours and then we are right back to where we were. I have another appt for him this week but is there anything you can think of that I can bring up to his vet to check...

Metal allergy?
Posted on 2008/03/05 by VictoriaOur cat Charlie has been getting sick since the beginning of the year. For two weeks he was sick everyday - and not just a little bit. He was at the vet everyday, getting anti-biotics and water infusionsions. This didn't help, so we stopped taking him, and he got better. Since then he's been sick on and off - and I noticed that it coincides with me using a metal food bowl for him. Is it possible that he has a metal allergy? He has no outside symptons such as rashes or welts on his skin. I'd appreciate any info you could give, thanks.
