My 10 day old pup is not doing well, he is not gaining weight and he has vomitted twice, he is half the size of the second smallest pup. He is fighting to live, I feed him separately from the others so i know he got a good long feeding. I also hear a bit of rattling in his chest. is there anything i can do for him?

Not eating and Jaundiced
Posted on 2007/12/17 by LindaWe have a 7 y/o female cat that hasn't hardly eaten any food in 2 weeks and drinks just enough to barely keep hydrated. She's been tested for FIV and Leukemia and is neg., her blood work shows a low white blood cell count and slightly impaired liver function. She was given a routine of antibiotics earlier and recently a anabolic steroid shot to try to help with her appetite. She tries to drink and is able to a little, but her attempts at food are worse now and she is showing jaundice around the ears and the gums. She's skin and bones and does try to do her normal activities, just has no energy. I have some Nutri Cal and am debating on whether to try to force feed...

Weight Loss & Swollen Penis
Posted on 2008/01/30 by ChelseaMy daschund's penis seems to be swollen outside his sheath, should I be concerned? He also has had issues putting on weight ever since he was born. I'm concerned that maybe his body thinks it's starving, even though I feed him daily. Could these problems be related? Are these serious concerns that I should find a vet in this area for, or can I treat him from home?

What is wrong with my cat?
Posted on 2008/01/31 by CarolineMy cat won't eat, drink, or use the litter box. She has lost her energy and doesn't play or walk around much. Sometimes she also vomits, but not continually. We just moved and I thought she was adjusting to the change, but it's been 5 days and she hasn't gotten better. I have been force feeding her water from a dropper to keep her alive. I can't afford a lot of expensive vet tests. What could it possibly be? Anything I can do for her at home?
