Weight loss

  • My 3 year old female dog was spayed a almost a month ago, about 2 weeks ago i noticed this really loud gurgling noise coming from her stomach. I thought it was because she hadn't been eating the same, but its been going on for two weeks now. It usually stops after she eats, but i know she ate her food twice yesterday. She acts like her usual self for the most part, just the growling and gurgling stomach, but she has been trying to eat more grass. Should i take her to the vet asap???

  • Maine Coon cat

We have a 13 year old male Maine Coon cat. He has been very healthy up until a week ago. We just recently bought another Maine Coon kitten (5 months old) and brought her home. Our older cat has been very lathargic, throwing up, and losing weight pretty rapidly. We are taking him to the vet today. Could the kitten have given anything to the other cat or is this something very serious?

  • Walking problems for a week

I have a 8y/o Pekingnese and for the past week she has been having difficulty walking with her back legs. At first I just though she tweaked her back from jumping on and off the couch. Now she is better at times and then not good at other times (weird). Other symptoms are not eating, when she does walk back legs just going out from under her, hair falling out, after going outside or somtimes when petting her she just shakes/shivers bad. Any ideas on helping her?

  • Supplements

Hi, What's the difference between immunity supplement and multi-vitamin and is it necessary to get it for my dog. I notice that alot of multi-vitamin brands that contain menadione as their source of vitamin K but i heard too that its cause danger to our furry friends under long term usage. Thank you

  • myomitosis in vaccinated rabbit

my rex rabbit has developed myomatosis very badly, even though he has had the required vaccinations as specified by the vet. I know this does occur as the vaccine is only 80% effective however this has been called the worst case she has ever seen by my veterinarian. He has had his face completely covered by myxomas, around his eyes, ears mouth and nose. He also has multiple (20 +) on each foot, and large ones just randomly dotted about his body, however most seem to be situated ventrally on his abdomen, and rostrally on his face. He has now had these for 6+ weeks, and they are starting to turn black ooze some pus and slowly fall off, however only in one place. He lives...

  • My kitten is sick

Hi, my cat has been sick for a couple weeks now and has gotten a little bit better. He no longer has a runny nose or sneeze but is still tired and has a reddish ring around his eyes. We took him to a vet and they gave him some antibiotics. After he takes them, the red rings go away for a while but come back until he takes his medicine again. What is wrong with him? Thanks

  • Does Our Cat Have Stress?

Hi there, I have a cat whom we are guessing is about 4 or 5 years old. We have moved locations with our cat 3 times and are starting to notice unusual changes in its habits. Abers, our cat, is starting to bite himself to the point of excessive hair loss, he also has been losing excessive amounts of weight and not being his normal active self . We have tried compensating by feeding him both wet and dry food and it has helped some. In the past day we have discovered that Abers has bitten the end of his tail to the point of blood literally coming out over all the walls and carpets. You should also know Abers has not had his shots at all. As well, Abers lives in a house...

  • Our 10 year old cat had a cancerous tumor removed from his colon about 7 weeks ago.He seemed to recover well & we were following up with chemo every 3 weeks. Well, about a week ago he stopped eating/drinking and noticed he was walking differently. We were then feeding him gravy through a dropper until we decided to take him to the emergency vet. His blood work was perfect but the x-ray showed a mass buildup around the surgery site.We think it was scar tissue.Vet told us he could do exploratory surgery but couldn't guarantee that our cat would have enough tissue to connect everything again. We then decided that the best thing to do for him was to put him down. It's...

  • My cat has been sneezing for months now and my mom has finally agreed he can live with me in my room. I think he has "upper respiratory infection tract disease" and he has a really hard time breathing and cant stand up without it making him weak. His lip is also irritated and ripped and i think thats why he wont eat.. He's 11 years old and up till now has been an outdoor cat do you think he'll get over it on his own?
