Not a clue
Posted on 2009/08/02 by User5 yr old rottweiler. Her glands are swollen to the point of baseballs, her back legs are really swollen, and she seems to be excessively losing weight, though she is still eating normally and acting normally. We are starting to really worry and no idea what it could be, any ideas?

Need Help ASAP
Posted on 2009/08/02 by AushaMy 11 month old beagle golden retriever mix is laying around the house lethargic, losing weight by the day and there is greenish yellow discharge coming from her eyes. She usually eats like a horse and keeps all her weight on and plays with her two companions day and night. Me and my fiancee are thinking she might have (a) tapeworm(s). Could you help me out and try to shed some light on her illness?

Sick Doggy
Posted on 2009/08/04 by HeatherWhen my dog had puppies a few years ago her skin never stretched back into place, and even now it's still hanging, though I can clearly see her toned body through the sagging skin. Along with the sagging skin, she started itching and scratching and licking herself a lot, and her skin (legs, paws, ears, behind) turned red and raw and lost the fur in those areas. I've tried ointments, and shampoos, and just about everything I can get. I expected her to get better after awhile, perhaps maybe it was a seasonal thing, maybe she got into some weeds or something that was irritating her skin, but it's been quite awhile, and it still hasn't healed. These last couple of months...

Stopped eating
Posted on 2009/08/10 by KeriMy cat is 14 years old and for the past week he hasn't been eating any cat food. He has been finding dark places to lay/sleep and has been withdrawn. He continues to drink water and only wants dairy. He licks cottage cheese and will eat a piece of shredded cheese. I worry that this dairy is not good for him but I can't get him to eat any cat food, not even soft cat food. Since we have three other cats at home it is hard to keep track of his bowel movements but we haven't noticed that he has had any for the past week. He is not in pain right now otherwise we would take him to the vet, which he really doesn't like and becomes hysterical. My question is should I...

Feces color change; chronic weight loss
Posted on 2009/08/10 by UserFemale cat, roughly 12 years, has voracious appetite but continues to lose weight, suspect it's been happening gradually for a year or so. About two months ago, her feces began to have lighter-brown/grayish steaks. Feces color has progressed until all light colored, never dark brown. Now her stool is often very loose. She acts hungry almost all of the time, but will rarely eat crunchy food, only canned. Two docs have checked her teeth and see only some gingivitis, nothing to prevent eating hard foods. Doc. has checked thyroid twice (thinks she feels a 'thyroid slip') but all tests come back well within healthy range, test of water consumption backs up that thyroid...
