he has been vomiting some yellowish stuff and has diarrhea and won't eat or drink, when he does, he pukes it back out. what can i do to help him?

Posted on 2008/02/17 by TraceyMilo has CRF, which is being treated at home with IV Fluids. I took him to the vet one week ago for a checkup and because he seems so boney. He has lost 2.5 lbs in a year and he has been sleeping alot lately. He has also been struggling with constipation for quite a few years and vomits often after he does poop. Since being at the vet one week ago, he hasn't pooped since that day, hasn't hardly eaten anything, vomited today with nothing in his stomach and he was been urinating in his kitty bed, which he has NEVER done. I have to wait until Monday to bring him back to the vet, but does anyone have any clue what is wrong with him? His bloodwork came back actually...

Posted on 2008/02/19 by pei shihi listen to you and bring my ozbek to the vet ..they said he has diabetes mellitus type 1.. but the problem is they said they can put the fluid on him because he nervous...his body is so tight... so they ask me to go to 24hr care.. or come back tomorrow so that they could watch on him please help me ... Wht can i do if i bring him back home & send him back tomorrow again anything temporarily i could help him to lower his sugar level .. may be put something on the water...

Last summer he developed major gum problems about 2 months after having his teeth cleaned for the second time in his life. He has been on "Revolution" for the past few years 10 months out of the year. The vet put him on Denamarin since a blood test showed lower liver funtions then what he should have. He was drinking 6 to 7 cups of water in a 24 hour period. After being one the Denamarin now for 4 months his water consumption is down consistently for over 2 months to 2 to 3 cups of water per 24 hour period. My dog has not been eating for about 4 days. She keeps puking up this yellow foamy bile. She will usually be really playful and eat everything. Now she just lays around and sleeps then gets up to puke. I have taken her to the vet twice and they cannot find anything wrong with her. They said they would do a blood test for 100 dollars. Is this necessary? I really just want her to be back to normal. She is on an antibiotic right now. She has lost a lot of weight too.

Pushing away the runt
Posted on 2008/03/07 by PriscillaOur cat is nursing 2 litters, 7 kittens all together. 4 are a week old and 3 are 4 days old. She has done well and I've helped some by alternating giving them formula. Today she has been pushing the runt off and it is very weak and barely takes formula. Is there anything I can do? It only weighs about an ounce, it's so tiny and tired.

Cat overeating
Posted on 2008/03/09 by UserI have a 16 year old cat that eats 3-4 small cans of food plus dry food everyday. He also drinks a lot of water. He is very skinny and he doesn't gain weight. I can hear his stomach growling sometimes. What could be some causes for this?
