My puppy (8 months old ) had swollen face on friday took her to the vet who was sure she had been stung by bee . she gave her two injections and was fine . later thhat eve her eyes started to swell . i phoned emergency vet who said give her piriton swelling went down . all well on saturday till late evening tten sarted vimiting . her stomach is gurgling but she is lively. should i phone emergency vet again or wait and observe?

My cat Fate has been vomiting and having diarrhea for a few days, She seems fine otherwise (eating, playing, sleeping etc. Should this be a concern or mabe a virus?

They took an x-ray, said everything looked good, gave her subcutaneous fluid, amoxycillin, and ceratan (anti-vomiting?). After 2 days at home, eating, taking her meds, and having just a lack of energy she stopped eating tonight. She then had a bowel movement that had blood in it and we took her to the emergency vet. They did bloodwork and looked at the stool and found nothing. They now sent us home again with a new antibiotic, most fluid injections, and an anti-diarreha medication, but no answers yet again. Help! My cat ate Alfalfa and now vomits...
Posted on 2009/08/01 by VoodooMy cat ate some alfalfa. It was a small amount like a little sprinkle of catnip, which fell out of my pant cuff from when I had fed the goats. I had no idea alfalfa was toxic to cats until now, as all the books I have do not have it listed in the toxic plants list. My cat is now vomiting after each time she eats. She still has a great appetite and is showing no other symptoms. Due to not having a car handy to get her to a 24/7 vet, I will have to wait until tomorrow or Monday to get her seen at a regular clinic. Is there anything I can do for her until then?
