My 5 Year old German Shephard cannot urinate
Posted on 2008/06/24 by UserHello, I have a 5 year male nuetured German Shephard. In the last year, he has been having problems urinating..where he isn't urinating at all. I have been to three different vets and a specialist and no one seems to know what's going on. In the past, I've put him on Clavamox and that has seemed to work short term. Last week, he stopped urinating again. He doesn't seem to have any kidney or prostate problems and also doesn't have a UTI. He now isn't responding to the Clavamox which used to work in about 24 hours. Has anyone have any advise for me or heard of anything like this? I'm just a wreck about this and at my wits end!! Please help!!

rear leg lameness
Posted on 2008/09/11 by MarkOur 11 y/o aus shep? mix is displaying signs of rear leg lameness. Difficulty getting up from lying down and getting onto the couch were what we noticed first. She has developed a limp and drag when walking which seems to be worse on the left side with occasional tremors in her leg when standing. She’s not as high strung all the time like she used to be, but her personality has not changed. And we have seen absolutely no signs of pain. She will still chase the squirrels in the back yard and won’t yelp if she falls because she can’t run well anymore. Occasional incontinence (not urinary) and walking with an uncomfortable squat while defecating are also new. We have...

Is my dog sick?
Posted on 2007/12/17 by CherylMy dog has had excessive thirst which has caused her to have to go to the bathroom during the night and she has had some panting without exercise. Other than this she still shows no other symptoms. No personality changes still has energy and loves her walks. Is she OK?

sick puppy
Posted on 2008/01/29 by UserOur choc. lab puppy is not feeling well. She is 4 months old. She started acting funny yesterday when she bit me, then last night she peed on floor (she's potty trained outside). When we did take her outside she would squat to pee then up to poop then down to pee again. She's been lethargic, but at the same time really playfull. She pants continuously and drinks way more than usual. She has alsow been knawing at her metal kennel (never done before) Vets tested her urine and found nothing. What could these be symptoms of?

Cat urinating on everything
Posted on 2008/02/08 by Usermy cat has started urinating on the couch, towels, plastic bags, phone books, basically anything left on the floor. I thought he might have a urinary tract infection, but he drinks a lot of water, and urinates in the litter box. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be ?

Crate Training Issues
Posted on 2008/02/13 by AshleeWe've had Bentley for a few weeks now and she's been doing really well. We've been crate training her when we leave for the day, but latly she's been struggleing with it. She keeps having accedents even if she's not in there for very long. We always let her go potty before we put her in there, but it doesn't seam to matter. Also, she seems to have speration anxity. I don't know how else to ask for advise.

kidney problems?
Posted on 2008/02/14 by SmithI have a female cat who's brother died a little over a year ago with a blockage (kidneys). She has been going downhill ever since. She is anorexic now, you can see her bones. She refuses the litter box (has made my daughter's bed her litter box). I rarely see her eat much, she does drink a lot of water. She is still loving but the last couple of days she has just wanted to lay around. Is she about to pass away like my male did?

Was hit by a vehicle
Posted on 2008/02/16 by felixMy kitten was hit by a vehicle on wednesday night,we took him to the RSPCA on thursday morning,we realised when we lifted him he cried in paid and he was limping and he was unable to lift his tail,he also tried to pee and seemed unable to. He's been at the rspca for a few days and they've told me that he'll need to have his tail amputated,I don't mind that, but now they're saying thathe's been unable to pee by himself so they had to sedate him every morning and well I guess inject his bladder and relive him.The vet has told me that they will keep monitering him until monday to see if he can will be able to wee-wee by himself.Otherwise they will recommend that he be put...
