Urine & incontinence

  • Neuro changes in cat

Wondering if you can help me with my 8yo. neutered male cat. Last night I heard him crying and when I went to see what was wrong, he was trying to walk but was stumbleing all over the place. His head was also moving back and forth from left to right. He did know me but seemed to be a little disoriented at the same time. He also lost control of his bowels which I spotted later on the rug. He did this about 4 or 5 months ago but I thought he may have eaten something outside and was having a reaction. Now I don't think so since he wasn't outside yesterday except for about 20 minutes in the morning. Any ideas? Thanks, Joanne Carr

  • Not urinating

My cat doesn't seem to be drinking water and is not urinating much at all. What could be causing this?

  • Second Opinion/Feedback

Hi. I apologize that this is such a long “question,” but I’ve included some history regarding this problem. Jasmin, my very dear 11-ish-year-old 13-lb cat has had a very rough time this whole month!!! We took her to the vet at the end of January when we noticed she had urinary frequency and blood in her urine. She seemed her usual self otherwise. The vet diagnosed a struvite cystitis/infection and placed her on a liquid antibiotic twice a day and special canned food to dissolve the struvite crystals. (She was also found to have hyperthyroidism and was prescribed Tapazole, which has brought her thyroid levels back to normal.) When we took her...

  • behavior

Yesterday my dog was at daycare - he goes around once a week to every other week and he knows the people there well, they know him. They said that after being there for about four hours with the same caregiver, that he started running in circles, barking, tail between his legs, peeing on himself - and acted like he didn't know the person or where he was. They said he seemed "lost". They were able to calm him and returned him to play, but he did the same thing again. They kept him separated from the other dogs the remainder of the day but he continued to have episodes of not knowing who the people were and acting "scared". THis morning he...

  • Seizures

My 12 1/2 year old lab/sharpei mix has started having seizures. She has had 4 in two days. I took her to my vet and they did blood work that came back negative for any issue. The vet thinks that the seizures could be caused by a tumor that is affecting her central nervous system. I don't want to put her through the process of an MRI -- she's already "freaked out" enough. Can you give me a second opinion? I'm really at a loss as to what to do. Thanks.

  • Dark yellow discharge?

My 6 Year old Dachsund is having a very dark yellow discharge coming out of her for the past 2 days. It smells very badly and is coming out in puddle sizes, almost like it is pee but she will lick it all up off of her. Then her breath and whole body smells like this digusting discharge. What could it be and do I need to take her to our vet?
