I think my 14 yr old border collie may have had a stroke. she lost her bowels and urine..10 minutes later she vomited..when we tried to get her to go outside she tried to stand and was falling to her left side and her left legs were shaking. Her head is tilted t the left also. and she has some drool coming out of her mouth....

Metacam and Clavubactin
Posted on 2009/10/29 by UserHi My cat (Max)has recently been hospitalized for a UTI. The vet put a catheter in him and kept him overnight. There were no stones and no crystals. Max had been passing small amounts of urine prior to taking him to the vet but the vet informed me that his bladder was full and that he required urgent catheterisation. He has had these infections approx 4 times previous but this is a new vet and I did feel confident with him. In previous times, Max was given a cortisone and antibiotic injection and then follow up antibiotics and the matter resolved itself with being catheterised and having a lenghty stay at the vets. This time time he was given Clavubactin 90mg 2 x daily...

I have a 13 week old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix who was diagnosed with diabetes Tuesday. He was placed on Vetsulin at 1 unit per day. He is only receiving a shot once per day. His sugar, after 3 days on insulin, registers on the urine test strips as over 2000. My vet does not know what to do at this point and neither do I. Any suggestions. Oh, he weighs about 2 pounds. He is eating good now but is still drinking an excessive amount of water and has very frequent urination.

Urinating issues
Posted on 2009/11/11 by UserI have an 8 1/2 year old fox terrier mix that's been having issues with urinating in strange places, frequently, and on even people. We've taken her to a vet and she was put on antibiotics and was doing fairly well for a few days, but it seems to have started up again. What else should I look into for this? She has also been very fussy, disobedient to one of us in the townhome- but really needy and whines for the person who has left. We've recently taken her to a vet because we've discovered a mass in her chest, but it's in a position where we've been unable to biopsy, so we've been trying to figure out the process to go through to be able work with it further.
