my cat has recently started coughing and wheezing there is no fluid or sickness but she finds it hard to catch her breath when she has these episodes she is still eating well but has increased her drinking she is 17 years persian.

Posted on 2009/04/06 by UserIs there something we can do? Our cat was going to the bathroom and her back legs gave out. She is an older cat about 14. Shes breathing, and taking water from a syringe, shes laying there and moving slightly, is there anything we can do or and explaination.

I've tried cleaning them but she won't have it. also about 4 weeks ago she had 6 teeth out and not she has these black bit under her chin is that normal? Also she keeps scratching although she has no feas? Any info would be grateful recieved. Mant thanks Esther Wheeler

my staffy as started coughing and as a runny nose,wet nose as if shes got a cold. Given her honey. What else can I do? She is with 3 other staffys and another is starting the same way.

1 Year Old Female Cat Worms/Sneezing...
Posted on 2009/04/27 by CarrieWe noticed this weekend that Max, our female one year old, has worms. We purchased some worm medicine over the counter for her and gave her some on Saturday. Upon reading the box, we read about larve infestation of the lungs. We had noticed she has been having what we thought to be a hairball problem since late last week. We didn't notice the worms until Saturday though. She also seems to cough or sneeze. We were wondering if this sounds as though the worms have infested her lungs, if the medicine we gave her should take care of the problem, if we should take her to the vet, or if the coughing/sneezing/hairball episodes could be something else entirely.

Posted on 2009/05/02 by UserI have an 8 year old dog who has been coughing up phlem, sneezing, is congested and at times her eyes swell. Occasionally the phlem and the sneeze is tinged with blood. Occasionally she gags as if she is going to cough up phlem, but nothing comes out. We have been to a number of vets, have had her on many rounds of antibiotics, but nobody seems to be able to tell us what is wrong and how to make her stop. We have ruled out heartworm as well as kennel cough. Her appetite is great, she is not lethargic and I am frustrated that we can't seem to find an answer! This has been going on for about 5 years and is seems to quell and then get worse.... We also have...

bloody mucus discharge from left nostril

My dog - 8 yr old yellow lab; 95 lbs- just returned from the kennel. We boarded him this past weekend. He seems very lethargic, won't eat (breakfast or supper today) has a snotty nose, seems to be "wheezing" and also looks to be having trouble opening his eyes all the way. He suffers from Addison's disease; which is well-controlled with Percorten (next dose not due until May 24). He shared the kennel with my other dog - 6 month old black lab; 46 lbs) and the little dog seems to be ok, other than a little more sneezing than normal.
