  • Not a clue what's going on

About 5 days ago Homer started screaming out when we would pet his ear. Then it continued when he started doing it when no one was around him, just out of no where, and it wasn't just his ear after that. If you touch his legs, neck or feet he screams loud. A couple nights ago he started pacing back and forth very slow while panting and holding his head straight out. While doing this he also convulses with a blank stare in his eyes. He can not lay down, when he tries the second his stomach hits the floor he screams. This screaming that he does ranges from ear piercing to just whincing for sometimes 10-15 seconds.

  • Strange behavior in our cat.

Our cat started acting strange about an hour ago... strange walk... shaking all over... dilated pupils. We can't find any bite marks on him or soars... we live somewhat in the country, and he has come back at times looking like was in a fight... but not recently.

  • Distemper in cats

About 2 months ago I rescued 6 kittens from my workplace. They were fine, happy, playful, & thriving. Then about 1 month ago the runt passed, it was very quick & I assumed it was because he was the runt. Untill last Thursday when the strongest "Alpha Male" became sick and about 1 hour ago he passed also. I now believe it was distemper. This has been so gut wrenching my heart is broken & he fought so hard. PLEASE tell me there is something I can do to save my 4 other babies. PLEASE I CAN NOT go through that again let alone bare to see them suffer also like Patrick did. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

  • Cat Seizures

Our 17 year old female calico cat had several seizures this morning. This came upon suddenly because last night she was perfectly healthy and normal. She is on thyroid meds for hyper thyroid and she has a heart murmur. Since she is an outdoor cat we suspect she may be poisoned. Do you have any other ideas on what is happening to her or why she suddenly is having seizures and vommiting? Thanks, Lindsay and Hailey

  • My dog, a 10 year old rat terrier mix, is having serious difficulties.lately she has been having strange seizures where her body locks up and she just whines and sometimes loses control of her bladder. now she has lost basic use of her left set of legs. She can't balance and has become lethargic and lost appetite. Her eyes also sometimes go cockeyed. She refuses to eat but we can get her to drink. Apart from that she just lays there and sleeps or whines. We are scared of a vet visit do to the cost. what could possibly be going on so we know what we could be looking at cost wise and especially if she'll be around much longer....

  • Siezures/congenital?

We have a bichon frise who is now 5 months old. We have always known him to be very quiet and tired since we got him at 9 weeks old. The vet said that it was normal that puppys sleep alot.We also noticed in his mouth his bottom canine teeth are making holes in his gums on the roof of his mouth, the vet said wait to see what the adult teeth do.Now about 1 and a half months ago I noticed him bobbing his head just a few times up and down maybe once a day(that i noticed) now to present he bobbs his head, front legs while in a seated position and falls over and just lays there. This is progressing to while he is standing, sitting,in your arms, and at least 7 or more times a day....
