My dog has been limping on his left front leg all day and he is very uncomfortable, whining and crying. I can not get him to a vet at this time and I have very little money to have it fixed if it has been dislocated or broken. I did call a Vet in the area and they told me to put a heating pad on it till I can have it seen. Is there anything else I can do to make him more comfortable or give him till I can bring him in to be seen?

back pain lethargy
Posted on 2008/01/30 by UserHI my dog was with my mom's husband and got hug by his leash over the fence - for a few minutes. He already had arthritis in is back. Now there seems to be a bump in his back and he is lethargic. Is his back just more sore or could this be something else? Also increased panting.

Yesterday, I reluctantly had my dog nuetered. I brought him in at 8:30 am and went to pick him up at 5:30pm that afternoon. When they brought him out, he was still somewhat out of it. I even questioned whether he knew me or not. He had been through a lot and I just assumed he would snap out of it later in the night That he just needed more time to recover. The tech, at the last minute of me ready to take him, looked concerned and checked his gums for color then wanted the dr to check him one last time to be sure he was ok before I left. Well, he did and found he was bleeding internally as his gums were white. He told me thank god that the tech noticed this as he...

food poison?
Posted on 2008/01/31 by UserOur neighbor threw some sort of stew/chilli into our yard. Our 10 year old keeshond was able to gulp it down and he threw up three times that night. The next day he lost control of his bowels. Today he is lethargic, tender above his back near his tail, has a yellow discharge from his bowel area and urinary area. Is it food poisoning or something else?

Odd clear fluid
Posted on 2008/02/01 by UserBackground: My 17 yr old cat has been ill for over a year. The vets said a few months ago there was nothing left to do, but make her comfortable. A sonegram from Jan 2007 showed a black mass on her intestine (don't rememberif it was the large one or the small one), but she was too fragil to handle a biopsy. Therefore, the diagnosis was only a guess: Either Lymphoma, OR a bad case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. My question to you relates to an incident yesterday morning: She was having a drink of water and suddenly let out a loud, AWFUL moan, and fell over. While laying on her side, a large GUSH of clear, odorless fluid came pouring out of her butt. I know it was coming...

Posted on 2008/02/08 by Usermy cat has a fever and ears are hot and drive him crazy. I think there is swelling behind the ears. I started him on a broad band antibiotic. I think it helped his fever but his ears still hurt.
