my dog was bit on the tongue by another dog and had to get stitches. how can i get him to eat or even take his meds by mouth??

Lump over Dog's Eye
Posted on 2009/10/03 by UserMy 6 year old female rottweiler has a lump over her left eye. It suddenly appear a little over a week ago, at which point we took her to the vet. The vet put her on antibiotics and said it nothing changed in 3-4 days to give a call back. Then about 5 days later, the lump grew down "over" her eye. She is now having trouble opening her eye. So we took her back to the vet who sent her for an x-ray and blood work. From the x-ray, the vet said she may have an infected molar but he also wants to hear back about the blood work before going farther. Well, the blood work came back with every thing as normal. What else could it be?

Posted on 2009/10/04 by UserMY 5 YEAR OLD MINI DACHSHUND HAS AN EAR INFECTION. HE PAWS GENTLY AT BOTH EARS AND YELPS EVERY TIME. HE ALSO TRIES TO SCRATCH BOTH EARS GENTLY AND YELPS. IF YOU TOUCH HIM ANYWHERE AROUND HIS EARS. HE YELPS. HE NEEDS MEDS FOR INFECTION AND MEDS FOR PAIN. PLEASE ADVISE ME. I CAN ONLY AFFORD THE MEDS, NOT A TRIP TO THE VET RIGHT NOW. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS. THANKS.

Posted on 2009/10/10 by crystalmy cat just got spayed this past monday. she chewed her stiches off 2 days later. took her to another ver. her glued her up and gave her meds for pain and infection. he also put her in a sock to keep her from licking herself raw again. however we had to take the sock off and wash it because it had a pus like substance on it. she ended up licking all the glue off the incision. its open and pusy we put steril strips to close it thinking the skin would seal together but shes in alot of pain and no vet will pick up what can we so for her.

my dog has weird lumps on his tail, where the lumps are there seems to be hair loss. The skin where the lumps are is red and the lumps are either dark or black. do you know what is wrong with my dog?

Posted on 2009/10/12 by CeliaMy American bulldgo has been taking medication perscribed by a vet for an allergic reaction to his rabies vaccine now his stomach seems to be swollen and he is just not acting like himself. Is there anyhting i can do for him in my home until I get paid and can take him to the vet again? He has been taking 2 asprin twice a day, 3 benadryl twice a day, and 2 Metronidazole twice a day.

i have a beautiful tiger stripped pit bull who has a quarter sized hard tender red area to left cheek there are no visible bite marks and another smaller abcess has formed next to it, there is no draninage he has had the first one for 3 days and the second has arised today

My dog is not feeling so well. She keeps getting up, going back and forth to various parts of the hosue and laying down again. the she'll get back up and do it again. She groans and whines like she is in pain. I take her out often but she wont go to the bathroom. She pees but nothing else. what might be wrong and what should i do? I've tried walking her, warm compresses to her belly
