  • unknown diagnosis

This question has stumped our family vetinarian. Madison is a 7 1/2 year old spayed Labrador mix, currently diagnosed with hip displasia in both hips (bad on one side, fair on the other), and incontinence. She has been prescribed Proin (25mg, 2x/day), and a glucosamine/chrondroitin/MSM combination (500 mg/200 mg/50 mg, 2x/day) for 2 years and tolerating that very well. On Tuesday, August 18, we noticed her drooling and unwilling to close her mouth. On Wednesday, August 19, we took her to our family vet. Dr. Kage examined her and took skull x-rays. When she and her 2 fellow doctors at the clinic couldn't determine a reason, we sent the x-rays to a radiologist...

  • After a recent flea infestation, my poor little guy is dragging, licking and chewing on his bottom. He is extremely uncomfortable right now. Is there is anything I can do to ease his discomfort until Monday when we can get to the vet?

  • Excessive drooling and yelping

My miniature Dachshund was excessively drooling the other morning. By that evening, he stopped and seemed normal. Now, today, when I called for him, he was yelping like he was in pain as he came to me. He also shakes his head a lot. He was also shivering but I did not see any places on his body that looked sore or hurt. Is this a serious problem? What do you think could be wrong?

  • Bowel Obstruction/Kidneys?

My dog has pain on both sides of his body ABOVE his hips. He sits down very gently, cries when you touch the sensitive area, has been sleeping a lot the past two days.

  • Dog

My 106 lbs, 6 years-old male Shepard-Lab-Sharpei mix dog has a "growth" slightly smaller than the tip of a baby finger, between the peds of his rear paw, which is causing him to limp. I have received two very different and conflicting diagnosis-one, it is a "tumor," and he must be "put under" for surgical removal; and two, it is a "wart," and will only require a local anaesthetic for removal. What type of growth is typically seen between the peds, and what is the normal/correct procedure for this type of surgery, if it is even necessary? Thank You Kindly, Lynda

  • need help

What could you give a dog for itching and pain, just to help throught the night. He's going to the vet in the morning, but he has a rash and trouble walking on one of his paws, and it looks like something gooky, like neosporin is on his paw.
