Went to work on Tuesday and put Sinker in his Kennel for the day and when we returned that day he wouldn't move very fast at all. We call him and he very slowly walks to the front of the kennel with a hunched back. His back hasn't been straightened nor has his behavior back to normal and it's been three days now. I put him on my bed last night to massage his neck and back and he seemed to like it but then rolled on his back by himself and layed there. He began wimpering/crying without touching him so I rolled him back over. He has had these spells before but none lasting this long. Usually, he comes out of it within a day. I'd say he had the last one maybe 5-6...

Parvo in puppies and adult dogs
Posted on 2009/05/02 by UserMy female germanshorthair pointer recently had puppies. We had to rush one puppy to the vet and found out he had parvo. He is still at vet, cured, but keeping him there to not come home and get sick again. One other pup was diagnosed with parvo, they sent me home with I.V. fluids to give him (it has been about a week now) He seems to be doing better, but one other pup is acting tired and shaky and his back legs seem weak. Is there anything I myself can do without spending a fortune at the vet? But I DO NOT want these pups to suffer. Could the mom have passed it? I am not sure about her current vaccinations.

Limping cat
Posted on 2009/05/04 by UserMy 2 year old cat is limping badly on one of his back legs. He has been hiding and sitting without moving hardly at all for about 2 months now. He's been to the vet's a number of times and the x-rays don't show anything and neither do the extensive blood tests he's had. He's recently come out and walked around a little bit periodically, but his limp seems even more pronounced. He's dragging his foot and it feels limp when you touch it. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

Stomach noises
Posted on 2009/05/10 by UserOur Dog regularly wakes up with tummy noises like an old fashioned water system. Is there anything we can give her like milk of magnesia or plain milk to make her feel better?
