  • Broken Tail

What should I do for my dog that has broken his tail and is chewing it off? We are unable to get to the vet at the time. He has not been pooping since he has broken his tail.

  • Vomit and odd stool

I gave my dog a vet approved dewormer 2 days ago for round and hook worms. It appeared to have worked that day because she was expelling the worms each time she went to the bathroom. I thought they were gone, because this eventually stopped. Today, however, she began to expel a spongy yellow feces with what appeared to be more worms in it. I asked my vet about it, and she could not give me a good reason. Also, I had to take my dog in to the vet today because she was vomiting liquid that appeared to irritate her. The vet just gave her fluids, some canned foods and told me to withhold food and water for several hours and reintroduce gradually. She did not give me a...

  • Puppy sick

my dog threw up last night - this morning she was acting normal, just very thristy. When i got home from work today she was extremly lethargic, moved very slow, and her eyes look very strange....almost like she is scared or in shock. the doc did intestinal tests and said nothing was wrong. she barely moves but when she does she will yelp like she is in pain. The doctor touched her all over and she didnt yelp at all. Any ideas about what might be wrong with her? they gave her two medications, an anti-biotic and intestinal pill.

  • Cat with tail bite

HI My cat was bitten on the base of its tail by another cat. I took him t the vet who cleaned him up and sent him home. The vet said if his tail doesn't start moving it will have to be amputated. The tail did start moving but the wound is still open on top. He keeps licking the ointment off and gnawing at the wound. He even took his own stiches out. I tried to take him to the vet again but was told that he wouldn't be able to see me until Saturday (its monday) and even then he scheduled me into a surgery spot because he thinks the tail has to be amputated. But the tail moves fine, and he hasn't even seen the cat!!!! He seems amputee happy and I do not want the vet...

  • Very Sick Cat

We live on a farm and have a stray cat that has been hanging around. We bought goats last week and one of them passed away yesterday. This morning the cat was lying on my porch, seemed almost paralyzed, unable to move except head, twitching, labored breathing. Any clue what it could be and do you think it could be related to whatever killed the goat?
