  • Help for my sick Chi

Hello, My chihuahua has been eating grass today and has a swollen abdomen. She also has very hard stools and seems quite constipated. It is late here so i will take her to the vet tomorrow, but is there anything I can do tonight to help her? Thank you.

  • My dog has a mysterious illness

I have been to the vet 3 times in the past two weeks for my dog. First he started with an eye infection which we treated with eye medication. A few days later I noticed he had small scabs all over his head and neck which were in various stages of healing...most of which I could scrape off with my fingernails. We brought him back to the vet and he was put on antibiotics. About a week later, when the antiobiotics were almost finished he started sneezing/snorting uncontrollably expecially when he got excited and along with this new symptom his back legs seemed to be like jelly sometimes and he was losing his balance. He wont go down stairs anymore and is very leary to...

  • A month ago my cat started scratching his chin so bad that he has an open wound. It started spreading to his ears and eyes so I took him to the vet. They said he was most likely grown allergic to the food I was feeding him and has a bacteria infection. They gave him shots of steroids and medication which I gave him but only the ears and eyes cleared up. Even though I have changed his food his chin has gotten worse. Now his left ear seems swollen, red and has nasty brown discharge, this is different this how his ears were the first time. It is obvious he is in pain when I touch it but I cannot afford to go back to the vet. Any advice?

  • My dog had a cyst removed from his head by his right ear and has not been right since. He immediately became aloof and depressed seperating himself from the family. Two weeks later he started to dirreaha and has not stopped since. We changed dog food 2x and he has been at the vet's for 2 weeks. He has had a fecal 3 rounds of antibotics, barium series testing, today a scope of his intestions. We have found absolutely nothing and don't believe he is going to be here much longer to see if the results of the scope worked. He is nothing but skin and bones and whines when I visit. Please --can you give me andy suggestions?

  • I have a young dog who suffers from cluster fits. He is on Phenobarb and KBr, but still has approx 4 fits a month. He had a bad cluster of fits four days ago, approx 9 in 24 hours, two of them severe. Since recovering, he appears to have lost some vision ( he loses me easily in the park) and he cries sporadically, for around 4 or 5 seconds at a time about 6 times a day. He doesn't appear to have any swelling or tender spots around his body. He has a huge appetite, and has exhibited some recent strange behavioural traits ( chewing cast iron fireplace/ his pottery food bowl). He drools alot, urinates very frequently and drinks compulsively.( Phenobarb side...
