my chihuahuas just had a litter of eight. all appeared healthy, allthough there was a runt in the pack...he seemed to do well. he did eat and grow with the rest. however now, they are three weeks old born Feb 28th, (it is now march 17), he all of a sudden started whining and whimpering in obvious pain. doesnt seem to want to eat. when we touch his neck or head his yelping intensifies. earlier this afternoon we did try to give all the puppies some milk supplement and nutrical...but since it was there first trial none of them really ate much of either..HELP! also, when we first realized something was wrong he was lying on his back with foam/drool coming out of his...

Posted on 2008/05/25 by KENTHobie got hit by a truck this afternoon, he received numerous cuts and abrasions, but the worst one is on his front left leg at joint where his elbow creases. it seem he lost some of his hide and should be stitched. but impossible at this time or anytime soon. we used hydrogen peroxide and gauze and stretch wrap to cover it for now but i dont think he'll leave it .we also used neosporin .question :should we leave it on or let him lick it and redo procedure tomorrow, also what kind of pain med is best? we gave him bufferin. he weighs around 85 lbs.

muscle soreness

Posted on 2008/08/27 by UserMy puppy has a bad rash that covers most of his face and chest...The area is swollen and red...The bumps are like little white blisters....He is constantly scratching and whimpers if you touch that area....Another puppy out of his litter has the same problem....What is this and is there anything I can put on it that is over the counter?...I don't have the money to take him to the vet right now...

Trouble Moving or Walking
Posted on 2008/08/27 by UserI have a Rat Terrior and one morning she woke up crying and yelping. When she moves in a certain way or trys to walk she cry a little. I noticed that her neck and her shoulders hurt when I press on them. She can't jump up or down on things and she can harldy go up and down the stairs. I havn't taken her to the vet yet. It seems like she has a pulled muscle or a pinched nerve or something. Is there something that I can do at home?

Posted on 2008/08/28 by KiraSomething coming out of vaginal area looks like sac of some kind,mare had a baby prior w/issues(retained placenta,baby had to be turned,infection,vagina protrudes further than anus,saved then and everything turned out OK was never to get pregnant again but they kept her with a stud before we could move her here so don't know if she was bred or not), NOW bubble appeared,popped then added to sac,mare acting like colic, have given bute,promace and zylaxine to keep from shock, please help me, we are a rescue that is underfunded...but in meantime this happened, please help me before a vet can get here,need to know what I can do to help her if there is anything I can do to...

My 13 year old dog has been throwing up although she has eaten next to nothing for the last few days. She is trembling and loosing control of her legs. Her nose is dry, and her coat is shedding. She is drinking a lot of water and then throwing it up.
