Once again, Marley woke up, stiff, drooling, "foam" bubbles coming out of her mouth. This time she had loss of control of her bowles. The episode lasts about 30 seconds. After the episode, she cries, whimpers, and eats for about 10 minutes. Then she is back to her normal playful self.

Skin COndition
Posted on 2008/02/11 by PrinceMy long haired belgian shepherd has a small (approximately 1/4" around and 1/8" high) knot on her back. It is located on the left side approximately 3" from the centerline and 6 inches forward of her tail. I suspect that it is incidental to flea bites since it came up before I cut her hair and treated for fleas. It has not gone down in about 4 weeks. There is no evidence of it being an infection (no pus or core) but it does seem tender to the touch.

Dragging hind legs
Posted on 2008/02/12 by JeanLately my 12 yr. old 1//2 Lab 1/2 Rott seems to be dragging her back legs when she tries to get up from a laying position. It looks like she can't stand up for a couple of minutes. She has had bad allergies all her life and tries to gnaw on top of her back, therefore she has had to twist herself completely around all of her life. Could the twisting have affected her legs. I feel so bad about her always itching and trying to get to the top of her back, I give her3 benadryl twice a day, it doe's not help. And It kills me to see her drag her legs when she tries to stand. Also she just recently seems to not want her food, she just wants the juice and leave the rest. ...

We have a 5 year old Golden Retriever. He got into chiggers (or they got into him) last week. The first couple of days we just thought that it was an ear infection that he was scratching at so we were treating the ear infection, but we just realized two days ago that he had chiggers. He has a nasty oozing place about the size of a fist just under his left ear. We bathed him and poured peroxide on the site and let it bubble out. We followed that by a treatment of Revolution. Is there anything else we can do? We tried to shave it, but he really put up a fight. Is there anything topically that we can put on it or do we need to get him a sattelite to stop him from...

claw injury
Posted on 2008/02/15 by UserI have a Jack Russell & yesterday he started shivering/acting strange all of a sudden. After a good look at him, I saw that he lost most of one of his front claws (.5 cm pink quick showing) - it's actually the bottom part of his claw (the top and front is intact). So I cleaned it, put neosporin on it & wrapped it up to keep him from putting to much weight on it. That seemed to help - he is not shivering anymore, but he still won't eat ... he just lays on his back & sleeps. Is there something else I should do? How long could this take to heal? Thanks
