my dog is nibbling her paws till they bleed she saw a vet and gave her antibiotics saying it was a infection they didnt work she went back and they gave her steriods and they dont work wats up with her feet?

LYMES DISEASE?
Posted on 2008/01/29 by Userjake is typically a happy, healthy beagle only taking med for hypothryoidism- dx about 2 years ago. doing great. about 1 week ago sudden loss of appetite, lethargy, will not climb steps, stiff gait. thryoid rechecked- vet indicated thyroid was ok at 5. complete bloodwork checked and was norm, urinalysis was norm. yesterday more labs done for possible tick bourne disease? since sunday taking doxycycline 100 mg, rimadyl .5 tab daily. how long does medication take to see improvements if this is lyme's? lab results should be back this friday. what are your thoughts on what is going on? it just "happened" because just a week ago he was healthy, happy and...

"erection" problem
Posted on 2008/02/02 by Reginamy nuetered male dog got to a female dog in heat. for the past 24 hours he has had a full "erection" and appears to be in pain. i have tried lubricating the area as well as applying a wet compress. neither have worked. my vet wants him to be seen but they are not availble until next week. is there anything i can do to get the swelling down? is there an anti inflamitory i can buy over-the-counter?

help my cat started limpoing yesterday but i could find no visible injury to his paw or leg, but now the pads of his paw and from what i can tell the paw itself is turning dark purple.

No Longer eating
Posted on 2008/02/03 by HolliIiah is old and has been diagnosed with possible bladder carcinoma, arthritis, and cataracs. She has gone down hill quickly since Christmas and is no longer eating. This is very concerning because it is her favorite thing to do. I have tried canned food and nothing. Any suggestions. Also, she is in a great amount of pain in her neck and back from arthritis. Is there any pain releiver that is safe?

Bubba is a very healthy dog, very active and a great weight (a little on the thin side even). He is a Pekingese (3years old) and has never had anything like this happen before. Here is what happened. I slept in Monday morning and woke up to diarrhea in the bathroom. It was a fair amount and some of it was very runny. Also, it seemed like Bubba may have struggled with it because it was in several places. I didn’t think much of it, however I did notice Bubba doing this weird thing. possible insect bite
Posted on 2008/02/04 by MonicaMy 5 year old , 15-17lb mixed breed tom cat.Appears to have a sting or small insect bite on his front left arm, between his shoulder and elbow. It is slightly swollen and he does limp a little when he walks, but I can tell it is bothering him.I was wondering what OTC I could give him for pain and swelling? and what should I use to put over the spot? (its very small spot like sting bite I almost could not see it and it feels like a small bump,no blood)

Blood in cat's urine
