My female adult (obese) cat - about 7 yrs old - has recently stopped eating a bowl of dry food a day to a bowl of dry food a week. She has also urinated on the floor and pillows for the first time. I don't have a job right now and I am scared that she is sick and needs to go to a vet.

Encourage feeding cat dry food
Posted on 2009/05/20 by UserI have a 94 year old aunt who has her cat with her at a care home and insists on feeding him table scraps and uses the dry cat pellets as a treat. I would like to print off something to try and encourage her to feed it the dry food as the matron at the home is getting upset about the mess of the wet food.

Two cat feeding to much?
Posted on 2009/05/24 by UserI leave my two cats food while im out at work during the day one eats as much as she needs and the other eats for greed and she is getting little tummy growing. I was thinking of just putting food down whilst im here and leaving water ot all day or leaving a little bit of food out during the day like two hand fulls of dry food. They have half a pouch of wet food on morning and half on a night and then dry food left out whilst at work in day what do you think?

Does my dog have pyometra, can medicine make her bigger or is she pregrnant
Posted on 2009/06/12 by UserPyometra - I have a rescue / adopted westie, she was used for breeding several times. She will not reproduce anymore, but has not been fixed and has not had a litter in a while from the breeders. She is 6 years, looks pregnant but it could be the medicine she is on for arthritis. Beautiful and sweet dog. She eats, plays, and is very happy and active. My only concern is she is swollen and getting bigger and bigger around the tummy and has her breasts are enlarging. What is this from? Can you offer me some really good advice?

My cat is extremely fat. She is about double the weight she should be. She was my mothers and I got her and another cat 4 months ago. I have been trying to maintain her food but it’s hard with the other cat. I do not give them treats of wet food just dry food. I tried changing to healthy food but it made both cats sick. I also try and play with her for exercise but she loses interest quickly. I also checked her for any health issues and she seems to be fine. I’m afraid that she’s going to have problems from the weight. What should I do to help my cat? Should I take her to the vet?
