Do dogs get yeast infections? My 9 year old female Sheltie has swollen genitals and she seems to get itchy. She has never been spayed. Hydrocortizone spray seems to help, but is there anything else I can do for her?

Posted on 2008/03/19 by jenniferhelp my parents cat that they have had for 11 years has a lump on the side of her belly,it started off small but then got real big,and its open and smells real bad all she wants to do is lick it but my parents are worried about her getting sick or hurting it so they clean it with peroxide everyday and put a bandage on it so she dont lick it..this is really hard on my parents my father just lost his job so they barely have money to take care of them selfs..they really dont know what to do.kitty(her name)is not eating or drinking as much she also hasnt been using the litter box much also. she is old so she dont play much anymore and shes fat

constant licking
Posted on 2008/03/21 by Usersidney has been having an on and off problem with her leg for a year. She licks it all the time in the same spot in the "arm pit" of her light leg. She is some times lame and then it goes away. We had a lump removed and she was OK for a month but now it fills with fluid and she bites/licks it open again. We have put a cone collar on her for 4 weeks and she just starts licking it again when we take it off. We have given her antibiotics three times for infection. What is it???

Posted on 2008/04/11 by tanyaWhy does my baby have one testicle swollen and not the other he apears to be in some pain but not a lot he is still eating and drinking he goes out to pee and he dribbles and sometimes pees ok we got him about two months ago from the pound he has had all his shots is their anything we can do for the pain and swelling at home as we have next to no money and the vet said that it was all right fixing him would take care of it but our vet did not seem to conserned he has no other problems with his health what do we do helppppppp please our vet did not tell us what it is and in the last three days it seems to be bigger and more painful it is about the size of a tennis ball

Posted on 2008/04/19 by UserMy dog is taking enalapril for his heart, a bronchodilator theo-dur, previcox for his arthritis & optimmune to produce tears for his eyes. His health has been declinging in the past year. In the past 6 mos, he only gets up to go outside & to eat. Which I contribute to loss of stability in his hind legs. I recently made a ramp to assist him in going outside which still required assistance by a family member. He's been vomiting off & on lately. Other than going outside to the bathroom & eating, he no longer mobile. This morning I went to assist him to go outside & noticed he had vomited & urinated on his area of the rug. My 2 year old red nosed pit has got this lump in between his toes and i dont know what it is and no money to take him to the vet it doesnt really seem to be buggin him he licks it from time to time he get mad when i push on it to hard. I did pull a sticker out from deep in one his pads a few days ago i dont remember ifd it was the same one or not. any help would be gretly apreciated

I've noticed recently that my dog has these wart like bumps. One on the top of his head, it almost looked like a tick at first, doesn't bother him at all, just looks yuckie. Then today while trimming his nails I noticed another one on the inside of his back leg, just above his knee. Its about the size of a dime and sticks up about an inch. Are these sort of growths normal in a dog his age? He seems very loppy and skitish lately which is not normal. I'm not sure if I should take him in or not.

free vet services or put her down
Posted on 2008/05/06 by sheilamy dog is 7 yrs. old. she went blind within 8 weeks and has lost 20 lbs in the 8 weeks and not gaining any her stool is not watery but very runny. she drinks several times and large amount of water daily. she still eats good. but she also has a sowleen ankle looks like infection however not form a bite or injured. She has all the signs of having parisites that have done some serious damage. ? I HAVE NO MONEY FOR VET SERVICES UNLESS I MAKE PAYMENTS. HARD TO FIND. OR I PUT HER TO SLEEP. CAN YOU HELP ME IN FINDING A VET FOR HER OR ADVICE i DO NOT WANT HER TO SUFFER ANYLONGER. SHE DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE IN PAIN ONLY THE LEG IF TOUCHED. THANK YOU SO MUCH
