  Hi My dog is 6 months old and she is a pitbull terier, she has a little bleeding and welling of her rectum, is she in heat she is been licking an gnawing at her rectum

• Rash and Irritation with hair loss

  Butch has got terrible raised angry looking red welts on the back of his neck and in between his shoulder blades with patchy hair loss.We have had him at two different vets and they have carried out various tests but all to no avail.It was thought that this may be an infection of sorts and as such he has had two lots of anti biotics.These have not worked either. We have tried Carmosa ointment this also hasnt worked.This is now spreading and looking considerably angrier.My wife has returned to the vets today for a third time.Can you help or advise?

  My 8 year old German Shepard became sick. I was gone and over the next two days and he became paralyzed. Front legs were really stuff, the back legs could move a little. I took him to a vet and took x-rays with no problems observed. Started him on an IV with antibiotics. I took him home after a couple of days and he is slowly getting better. If you pet or scratch his back along his spine, he will lose muscle function and sit down. At times he drags his left rear leg. At times he can not walk a straight line. After getting him back from the vet’s office, he could run up the driveway at approximately 6 mph. He is up to about 11 mph now and use to run at 16...

• Swollen Scrotum and Strange Red Spot

  My dog was neutered five days ago. Yesterday his scrotum became very swollen and there is a large (larger than a quarter) red blotch on one side of his penis and onto his belly area. His lymph gland is swollen on that side as well. I took him to the vet immediately and they said it was normal--that he licked himself or was getting too much exercise. He has been monitored 24/7 but might have licked himself at night briefly without me knowing or infected it when he decided to sit on a pile of dirt in my yard two days after surgery rather than pee. He didn't have a fever and his heart rate was normal. The vet put him on antibiotics and pain killers and sent us on our...

• Weight Loss & Swollen Penis

  My daschund's penis seems to be swollen outside his sheath, should I be concerned? He also has had issues putting on weight ever since he was born. I'm concerned that maybe his body thinks it's starving, even though I feed him daily. Could these problems be related? Are these serious concerns that I should find a vet in this area for, or can I treat him from home?

  My dog is developing bumps on his chest, leg, and stomach. They have appeared over the last six hour or so. he has been dry heaving also the last few hours. he is eating and drinking normal.
