  • Advice on what to do

I have a 9 year old Male Boxer. I've started noticing that he has tumors growing in various places on his body. Some are internal and are some are external such as one growing between the pads of his paw. He also has had a couple episodes of falling over and kind of seizing and having labored breathing and sometimes stops breathing for like 15 seconds maybe more. Does it sound like it's going to be an expensive problem if it's treatable? If so, we don't have a lot of money and would it be best to have him put to sleep instead of living with these growths and "seizure" like episodes? I can't stand to see animals suffer and I already feel guilty for not being...

  • Mange

I have an 8 yr old Manx that I believe has mange. I cannot afford to take him to the vet at this time. Is there any way I can treat him at home. Please help! I have had him since birth, and I don't want to lose him, he's my BABY!

  • Cat's Claw

Hello! About 3 weeks ago my cat had a broken claw in her front paw ( thumb one). I took her to the vet and they took out the whole claw (under anesthesia). They gave me a bottle of antibiotic (ClindaCure) to be administered once for the next 10 days and charged me $125. Three weeks has passed by and my cat's thumb looks swollen and she almost cant use her paw to walk. Is this normal after this procedure? How much time it would take for her to recuperate from this "surgery"... I cannot spend another $125!! Please help!

  • Melanoma tumor on tongue

My dog went to vet for annual checkup & vaccanations, as DR was checking inside his mouth he found a growth on his tongue and said it was a Melanoma. The Doctor said it needs to be removed (the next day) as well as a large portion of the tongue around the melanoma. His blood tests came back clear and he was otherwise healthy from the checkup. There were no unusual signs that the growth was yet malignant. Why would he not want to perform a biopsy before removing the growth and such a large amount of my dog's tongue without knowing if this was malignant?

  • Butch has got terrible raised angry looking red welts on the back of his neck and in between his shoulder blades with patchy hair loss.We have had him at two different vets and they have carried out various tests but all to no avail. It was thought that this may be an infection of sorts and as such he has had two lots of anti biotics. These have not worked either. We have tried Carmosa ointment this also hasnt worked. This is now spreading and looking considerably angrier. My wife has returned to the vets today for a third time. Can you help or advise?

  • partial paralysis

My 8 year old German Shepard became sick. I was gone and over the next two days and he became paralyzed. Front legs were really stuff, the back legs could move a little. I took him to a vet and took x-rays with no problems observed. Started him on an IV with antibiotics. I took him home after a couple of days and he is slowly getting better. If you pet or scratch his back along his spine, he will lose muscle function and sit down. At times he drags his left rear leg. At times he can not walk a straight line. After getting him back from the vet’s office, he could run up the driveway at approximately 6 mph. He is up to about 11 mph now and use to run at 16...
