Raven is atacking the cats
Posted on 2008/02/25 by CatherineI have an 11 yr old black shepherd, Raven, who has been raised with cats. Recently he has been going after the cats and has subsequently killed 2 of them. I have 2 other dogs, also. There is one cat left, Snowball, who is Raven's buddy but I have caught him charging after Snowball. I am keeping the cat in a separate room when we leave. This is not like Raven something is wrong. Please help, this was horrible what happened to the cats?

Metal Allergy Possible?
Posted on 2008/03/01 by MarissaMy dog was diagnosed with allergies. She has been on an elimination diet for 2 months and still has itchy, red skin on forearms and chest. She wears a collar with a metal buckle and the rash is especially bad on her chest where the buckle and tags hang. Could she have a metal allergy? We have bought her a new collar today, minus the metal and only put it on when she goes out. Allergies are year round. The only thing that helps is steroids which are not good for her. What is the next step we should take? She also has a raised, pimple (boil?) on her neck. Since she went back to her old food, she is lethargic, vomiting bile and has no appetite. This has only been...

Red lump on right shoulder
Posted on 2008/03/07 by GloriaThe lump is about the size of a pea. It's red, not hard. The vet gave me some cream to put on it but it seems to be making it worse. Was wondering if you could tell me what it might be. I hope it's not cancer. It started out as a small mole like, since I've been putting the cream on it seems to be getting worse. I discontinued using it on her. We have had her since January 14th. She was born 4th of November 2007. Hope you can help me. I would hate to lose her. She weighs 4lb 8oz. Thank you Gloria Thorpe

Bubbly skin on cats leg?
Posted on 2008/04/04 by Usermy cat broke her leg 8 weeks ago and underwent a major op as she had fractured her humarus. (right front upper leg). the dr was very happy with her recovery. lastnight i have noticed that the bottom part of that leg showed signs of injury, as it was swollen and tender to the touch. I at first thought she injured it by scraping it hard agains something, but tonight i noticed that her other leg is showing the same signs. It looks like muscle tissue damage, is swollen (feels like "bubbly"). We have just spend a major amount of money on the opp, and dont have finances to take her now... but i dont want her to feel hurt. I have the xrays in electronic format, but dont...

Vaginal Infection
Posted on 2008/05/14 by MelissaOur cat had 4 kittens almost 7 weeks ago and the smallest I notice doesn't have a tail and it's back legs do not function like they should. She just drags them behind her most the time. Right away we noticed she had puss and yellow fluid coming from her vagina. It seemed to be getting better but recently it is a lot worse. Just a moment ago I picked her up and noticed her vagina is REALLY swollen and I pressed on her belly and infection ran out of her vagina. We can't afford to take her to the vet. What other options do we have in treating her? Would clinic take her and treat her for free or keep her? I am so worried
