Semi Lethargic Min-Pin
Posted on 2009/10/23 by UserHi. My 2 year old Min-Pin has seemed a bit lethargic the past week. Now he is still eating, drinking, going for walks/exorcising normally. Around the house though he seems to be lay around a bit more then usual and is letting me lift him/hold him alot more then he usually would. He is healthy (as of a vet visit about 2 months ago) and seemingly happy. I had guests for the past week who were staying over, and he was getting pretty much a 3 person love fest for a week straight. Theyve been gone a little less then a week, and thats when this new "lazyness" seemed to start. Also, his breathing seems lighter and less labored then it typically is, but that sounds...

Our dog has HOD -
Posted on 2009/10/23 by UserFreddie, our 6-month-old Irish Setter has HOD. He has been sick about three weeks. He's getting Rimadyl for the pain, but it doesn't seem to be working as well as it did at first. Do you have any suggestions? Since starting the Rimadyl he has really bloody stools, almost liquid. He has never had parasites. I had our vet do a fecal lab check to make sure. Also, should we give him his heartworm pill (Iverhart) and his flea treatment (Advantage) while he is so sick? Thank you!

My black lab after coming back from a morning walk has been vomititng and eating alot of grass from 10am to 1 pm. She has stopped now but is acting very lethargic, and not closing her eyes when she is resting. She also has a dry nose and is breathing very heavily. Any advice or information would be great. Thanks

puppy's death
Posted on 2009/10/25 by Userwe had a 13 week old boston terrier puppy who we only had for 2 weeks. this morning i was sitting on the couch while he was eating....i heard a weird noise coming from the kitchen. when i went in the puppy was laying on the floor lifeless, not breathing and gurgling blood out of it's mouth and had a blue tongue. my first though was that he was choking so i immediately stuck my finger down his throat and pulled out a couple pieces of dog food, he wasn't breathing so i kept blowing air into his mouth and he finally started panting...we rushed him to the vets and they did tests on him for hours...they said his heart rate and blood pressure were low (in the 40's i think) his...
