Lethargy

• New cat has increased water intake and diarrhea

  We adopted a cat 3 days ago. He was a rescue because we was bitten by a dog, but his stitches are out and the wounds are healed. He has diarrhea and increased food and water consumption. And has been spending a lot of time in the litter box. Any suggestions?

  I just adopted a boxer mix from the pound and she is not eating and is vomiting up white foamy stuff also she has diarrhea. she is about 3 months. can you help

• Cat sudden weight loss and lack of appetite

  Hello, our cat had renal failure last August, we took "Teddy" to a animal hospital and they gave him tests and lactate ringers solution to get rehydrated. All the levels came back to just about normal. This past week, my wife noticed Teddy getting dehydrated again so she took him to the vet and they gave him more fluid and additional blood work. When she brought him home, Teddy was very alert and active. Now, he has not eaten for the last few days as we continue to give him the ringers fluid. The vet put potassium fluid in the bag for preventative reasons due to a low/normal range of 3.7. We have given him 2.5 mgs of pepsid twice a day, but still no appetite....

  Teddy's urinary tract is fine along with no hyperthyroidism. He ate very well after coming back home. His weight stabilized and even gained some. All his values have been brought into range except our vet was concerned about his 3.7 rating in potassium, thus the fluid injection into the ringers bag plus he sent us home with some powder which we give him mixed with water.   What does it mean if my cat can't feel his back legs? He is at the vet right now, and they said he has a bladder infection, but they don't know what is wrong with his legs. Someone please answer soon.

• Very Sick Cat

  We live on a farm and have a stray cat that has been hanging around. We bought goats last week and one of them passed away yesterday. This morning the cat was lying on my porch, seemed almost paralyzed, unable to move except head, twitching, labored breathing. Any clue what it could be and do you think it could be related to whatever killed the goat?

• dog poisoning

  Approximately a month ago our dog was poisoned; sadly she did not live very long after arriving at the vet’s office. There was no blood work done so we do not know what she was poisoned with. We do believe we know who did it but would like to know what she was poisoned with. She was a mutt weighing 40lbs and 7 years old at the time. Her symptoms were: foul odor, bleeding from her female parts, she was trying to vomit but couldn’t, she would not move, on the way to the vet’s, she would stiffen up and shake, then relax and whine. The vet said her gums were hemorrhaging and scarring. Whatever it was caused her kidneys to fail as well and that is what killed her. Is...

  We adopted a chihuahua mix 5 months ago (Doc). He is 7 months old. we adopted a poodle mix about 2 weeks ago (Ted). He is 4 months old. I took them to the vet 4 days ago and they were diagnosed with kennel cough. Doc had a kennel cough vaccine in January and does not cough as much as Ted. Even Ted usually only coughs at night. They are both on antibiotics. Doc has increasingly become lethargic since Ted joined our family. Now, Doc has vomitted about once or twice a day for 4 days. (Yellow frothy). He doesn't eat much and is extremely lethargic. Any ideas what is going on? Ted sleeps ALOT, but plays more than Doc also.

• sick with no insurance.

  My 4 mth old lab pit mix has had dirreah for 3 days now. he has also been throwing up. he s only eating a little food and when he does he throw is up.. this morning he was throwing up foam. I dont have money to go to the vet. is there anything i can give over the counter? oh his nose is wet and he is loosing weight fast.

• PLEASE HELP!

  My cat just sits over his water dish (as if to drink by osmosis) and sometimes I can get him to start drinking it...but when he first touches the water he kinda sneezes. I caught him sitting there earlier with his chin submerged in the water. WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP HIM? I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE OF DEHYDRATION...Please Help.
