Lethargy

  • Tail/Paw Issues

I saved a Rottweiler 7 wk old puppy from being put down. The problem is she has her tail banded, it is swollen and seems to be very painful and she walks with a limp on her front left paw. She walks on the top of it, kind of like a money walks on its hands. I don't have a clue what to do about the tail or the paw. Is there something I can put on the tail to keep infection out? I will try to attach a pic of her tail also.

  • Very Sick Dog

My bassett has been sick for about a week. Her symptoms started out as listlessness, loss of appetite, and then progressed to bloody diaharrea and shaking. She drinks water and pees all the time. I have been giving her burger and rice to eat which she will eat. Her stools then turned tarry and then today they seemed to be kind of green. She isn't herself and still shakes and wont leave my side. What could she have?

  • Sick Puppy

Yes, I was wondering what may be happening to my large dog that we keep inside the house. He is usually up and about and into everybody's business, but lately he has been isolated, shaky, eating grass, throwing up, and not doing any regular activities. His stomach feels hot and shaky, I'm just worried cause he has never acted this way before

  • Strokes?

Tinkerbell is an older dog, but likes to play and have fun. However, lately she has been having trouble walking and sometimes will just fall down for no reason. She also will have times where for several days she will not get up because it appears she is in pain. It will subside, and everything appears to be normal. During this time, her legs are stiff and massaging her lower back and giving her baby aspirin seems to help a lot. She also has constantly goopy eyes and she sneezes and hacks quite frequently (unrelated to latter condition). What could be wrong? We feel bad for her, but being she is so old, we wonder what we can do for her.

  • lethargy

My 6mo. old puppy has been very lethargic since yesterday. He has no appetite and when I let him in the house today, he vomited yellow. I can call his name and he will look at me but not come.

  • Vomit and odd stool

I gave my dog a vet approved dewormer 2 days ago for round and hook worms. It appeared to have worked that day because she was expelling the worms each time she went to the bathroom. I thought they were gone, because this eventually stopped. Today, however, she began to expel a spongy yellow feces with what appeared to be more worms in it. I asked my vet about it, and she could not give me a good reason. Also, I had to take my dog in to the vet today because she was vomiting liquid that appeared to irritate her. The vet just gave her fluids, some canned foods and told me to withhold food and water for several hours and reintroduce gradually. She did not give me a...

  • Puppy sick

my dog threw up last night - this morning she was acting normal, just very thristy. When i got home from work today she was extremly lethargic, moved very slow, and her eyes look very strange....almost like she is scared or in shock. the doc did intestinal tests and said nothing was wrong. she barely moves but when she does she will yelp like she is in pain. The doctor touched her all over and she didnt yelp at all. Any ideas about what might be wrong with her? they gave her two medications, an anti-biotic and intestinal pill.

  • Fur loss on chipmunk

HI, I have 2 chipmunks as pets. One of them has been experiencing fur-loss for the past 2-3 months and now and recently seems to be getting worse. She has been lethargic and only seems to come out of her box to use the toilet and to drink and eat. We have considered parasites, but eliminated it due to the other chipmunk not experiencing any symptoms. It was also suggested to me that it could be stress, as the other chipmunk can be quite dominant at food times in particular. We separated the cages but the chipmunk experiencing fur-loss appeared further distressed, not going to sleep in the new box (they normally share) and wanting to get out of her cage into the....
