  • Dog vomiting - please help

My dog vomited sometime today what looked like a bright yellow liquid. After feeding her this evening she started vomiting and when we took her outside she kept vomiting (it looked like her food covered in froth and she ate most of it) and scooting on her belly across the yard. Then she started eating grass and vomited that up as well. Now she seems fine, just really inactive and not her normal self. Should I take her to a vet, or just starve her for 24 hours and feed her a bland diet for a few days?

  • My dog is very lethargic and panting a lot. We went to the vet yesterday and they took blood, urine, etc...., but she seems to have gotten worse. I took her temperature today and it is 101.3...normal. She is just very out of it, and seems to be depressed. Also the panting and breathing heavily is bad. She's a golden retriever, 7 years old, on thyroid medication(soloxine), has allergies(takes an antihistamine daily too), and tends to have a very sensitive belly. She may also be having an increase in the number of times she is urinating. Or it just may be because of the hot weather, and I am giving her a lot more water daily. I don't know if I should take her to...

  • Dog flu?

My 11 year old dog has been very lethargic lately and his eye membrane is coming up on his eyes. Is it the flu or a cold? He has also had several episodes over the last few months where he breathes in very sharply almost like a wheez and this will go on for several minutes and sometimes even longer. The vet told us it was like a backwards hiccup. Are these related?

  • New Kitten Limps

We got a new kitten yesterday, a nice little guy called Moxie and we've noticed that he favors his left front leg when he walks. He can get around fine, but he just limps more some times and less other times. He purrs a lot and likes to curl up in a chair and sleep so far. Any ideas?

  • We got a 7 week old Yorkie puppy Tuesday. Wednesday she had to be taken to the vet with seizures. They believed it was hypoglycemia, perked her back up and said if she does it again come back. She started it again this morning so I took her back to the vet's office. Again, hypoglycemia. She ate just before we went to bed last night but sometime during the night this all came on. (She ate probably 5 times yesterday.) Food and water are left out so all she has to do is eat. Today they gave me a tube of Nutri-Cal and told me to give it to her every 30 minutes til she eats. That was about 11am, it's now almost 9pm and she still won't eat. Has only taken a sip or two of water...

  • When I adopted my 12 year old cat, he was obese. He has lost 4.5 lbs, and refuses to eat. There have been several changes in his life in the past six months: new owner and home, packing and moving to another new home. The vet that I took him to found a lump on his thyroid, but can not seem to find a reason why the cat will not eat. Any suggestions?
