Posted on 2008/04/19 by UserMy dog is taking enalapril for his heart, a bronchodilator theo-dur, previcox for his arthritis & optimmune to produce tears for his eyes. His health has been declinging in the past year. In the past 6 mos, he only gets up to go outside & to eat. Which I contribute to loss of stability in his hind legs. I recently made a ramp to assist him in going outside which still required assistance by a family member. He's been vomiting off & on lately. Other than going outside to the bathroom & eating, he no longer mobile. This morning I went to assist him to go outside & noticed he had vomited & urinated on his area of the rug. Sick for 3 days
Posted on 2008/06/15 by UserMy dog has been vomiting for 3 days now and I just gave him Cephalexin but I have a medicine called Metociopramide which my vet said is for vomiting but I am not sure if I should give him that also. My dog has not eaten anything different and for the last 3 days he has not eaten anything at all. Nothing is coming up in his vomit except a water substance there is no blood or food so I am not sure what to do

Posted on 2008/08/14 by KarieMy 12 yr old sweet ol boy has been feeling really bad, he is lethargic, w0n't sit, only lies on his side. won't walk, eat (only selective foods like a hotdog or a piece of chicken etc.)His bones are starting to show. He has a leaky discharge from his private and the same from his eyes (greenish), It's been a week now and he is no better. He's not throwing up and doesn't seem to be hurting just miserable (but i DON'T KNOW)We do not have the money to take to the vet and I know he is old, I just want to make sure he is not suffering. What should I do? I have been giving him 1 aspirin 2 times a day to help.

7 month old kitten will not run or play after neutering
Posted on 2007/11/27 by LouiseThree weeks post-neuter, 7 month kitten that was once a candidate for ADHD, has not returned to play activity with brother house cat. Almost limping at times. Would there be any metatastic pain to back extremities? Or specific time frame of lethargic behavior?

Not Able to Stand
Posted on 2007/11/28 by RosaMy pet is very weak and can not stand, please help! About 2 1/2 weeks ago he got into some expired food and vomited for 3 days, I gave him a 4 day dewormer and the vomiting stopped but had constipation and refused to eat. The vet gave him Metronizadazole 250Mg/day. I have been giving it for the past 2 days and there is no more constipation but having to force feed (no apetite) and tonight after coming home from a 30min. walk since 8pm he is not able to stand and laying on his side. Could this be caused by the medication? Is there anything over the counter I may be able to give him? I have to work and I am not able to take him to the vet 'till Friday, Please help!
