• Our dog has HOD -

  Freddie, our 6-month-old Irish Setter has HOD. He has been sick about three weeks. He's getting Rimadyl for the pain, but it doesn't seem to be working as well as it did at first. Do you have any suggestions? Since starting the Rimadyl he has really bloody stools, almost liquid. He has never had parasites. I had our vet do a fecal lab check to make sure. Also, should we give him his heartworm pill (Iverhart) and his flea treatment (Advantage) while he is so sick? Thank you!

  i went to clean out my hamster cage and i thought that my hammy had a bit of poop stuck to her bum when i looked closer it looks as though it is part of an organ hanging out of her bum is she dying this is the first hammy i have had please help

  my dog has been acting very strange.... normally very excited and lots of energy... he is about 5 or 6... recentlt has spells where timid and lathargic; wont touch a treat even when an inch from his nose...

  my dog has these symptoms vomiting diarrhea loss of appetite suddenly weak lethargy. he only had diarreah for a day or so and now when he tries to poop nothing comes out and he just stands there shaking alittle. i cant get him to a vet right now so i was wondering if there is anything i can do for him i also think he might have gotten into some chocolate but i dont know how much. if there is anythign i can do for him please let me know.

• back/neck pain

  How long can a dog remain on anti-inflammatories or pain meds for back/neck pain that may be caused by a slightly bulging disc? My dog is 6 yrs old. He weighs approx. 9 lbs and is neutured. I am trying to find an alternative to a $2000 diagnostic proceedure that may not find the problem.

• Constipation or Pregnancy?

  I've had my dog for about two years, and she's had issues with constipation before, but she has never been like this. Recently she has gotten to where she whines as if in pain when anyone touches her from the waist down..petting her, touching her, or even if she sees someones hand there. She wont eat anything at all..not even meat or hotdogs(her favorite) She wont drink anything but milk. She also just lays on the bed, she wont move and if we nudge her to get her to move she whines and cries. She has not "done her buisiness" her about two days but before those two days she was happy and fine. Could she be pregnant or just constipated again?

• Mysterious Diagnosis?

  My 8 year old male cat, Tanner has been having a periodical hind leg limping and parlysis problem. He as been to 4 different vets and no one can find an answer. His limping comes and goes and in the beginning it was a small limp. Improved. A month later he was walking on his hocks, ataxia. Improved. His jumping and stair climbing is no longer as good as it used to be. He has had on and off limping now for 4 months. The following test have been done: Full Blood panel - All Negative. - White cell count - good. - Couldn't ask for better blood work Diabetes - Negative Thyroid problem- Negative Poison - Negative Full Body XRay - Everything looks good. • Walking problems for a week

  I have a 8y/o Pekingnese and for the past week she has been having difficulty walking with her back legs. At first I just though she tweaked her back from jumping on and off the couch. Now she is better at times and then not good at other times (weird). Other symptoms are not eating, when she does walk back legs just going out from under her, hair falling out, after going outside or somtimes when petting her she just shakes/shivers bad. Any ideas on helping her?
