When I fed Ziggy this morning she seemed to be semi paralized, she was standing in one place and couldn't move. When she finally did move - she seemed to have little to no control over her body. She did eat and use the bathroom afterwards.

New Kitten Limps
Posted on 2008/06/29 by ThomasWe got a new kitten yesterday, a nice little guy called Moxie and we've noticed that he favors his left front leg when he walks. He can get around fine, but he just limps more some times and less other times. He purrs a lot and likes to curl up in a chair and sleep so far. Any ideas?

Spine Problem
Posted on 2008/09/12 by JerryDear TeleVets, I desperately need your advice! Our rescued LabMix 4yr old Sandi has suddenly lost the use of her rear quarters and we are at a loss at what to do. She initially went down about 4 weeks ago and our Vet initially diagnosed her with inflammation of the sciatic nerve. Treatment was rest and steroids for 2 weeks. Upon removing her from the steroids she seemed somewhat better but started going down hill quickly. Again the vet put her on steroids to get her mobile but also recommended taking her to a specialty clinic for further testing. We immediately took her there and after a myolegram that was normal and $2,200 later we still know nothing more. The...

Kitten in grave danger
Posted on 2008/10/01 by UserWe have a 10 day-old kitten, born prematurely, that has has not eaten in about 8 hours, has diarrhea with a little blood, and is VERY lethargic. Its weight is about 2.5 ounces. Is there anything we can do to help keep it alive overnight so we can get it to a vet in the morning?

hip dysplasia?
Posted on 2008/11/07 by UserI have 2 Australian Shepherd dogs (1 litter apart, same father), one that's almost 6 months and one that's almost 2 years. I'm concerned that the 6 month old might have signs of hip dysplasia. He started to limping yesterday after playing around on the house with the other dog (they're constantly playing in the house and outside). It currently looks like he's tender on his left front foot. We think he might have hip dysplasia because he's always limped around for a minute when first waking up, it's like his legs are asleep. And now after playing he's got a constant limp which gets more pronounced after relaxing. Are there any steps we can take at home to...

Dragging a leg and possible vestibular disease
Posted on 2007/11/29 by MaryPollie has been very active and loves running in the woods every day, she is still active, but we have noticed that her left hind leg is scraping slightly as she walks, we can hear it as she walks on the carpet, it's not a lot it is only just scraping on the surface, and sometimes her head looks like she is tilting it on one side, plus she has gone a little quieter! What do you think can be wrong?
