• LYMES DISEASE?

  jake is typically a happy, healthy beagle only taking med for hypothryoidism- dx about 2 years ago. doing great. about 1 week ago sudden loss of appetite, lethargy, will not climb steps, stiff gait. thryoid rechecked- vet indicated thyroid was ok at 5. complete bloodwork checked and was norm, urinalysis was norm. yesterday more labs done for possible tick bourne disease? since sunday taking doxycycline 100 mg, rimadyl .5 tab daily. how long does medication take to see improvements if this is lyme's? lab results should be back this friday. what are your thoughts on what is going on? it just "happened" because just a week ago he was healthy, happy and...

  help my cat started limpoing yesterday but i could find no visible injury to his paw or leg, but now the pads of his paw and from what i can tell the paw itself is turning dark purple.

• growth plate fracture

  How long should it take a minor growth plate fracture(back left rear) to heal?? Our vet has prescribed 4 1/2 weeks on "crate" rest, and no casting. She is 3 1/2 weeks into it, with great results so far.. Although today she darted out of her crate and jumped on the hurt leg, held it up for a minute or two (no crying) then seemed fine... Do you think she may have re-injured it, or that it is just sore? (she has been walking to go potty and that's it!) Should we re xray? Also, does not casting it, and the time frame they have given us seem reasonable?

  MY 10 MONTH OLD BOXER PUPPY EATS EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. I TRY MY BEST TO KEEP THINGS AWAY FROM HER, BUT SOMEHOW SHE ATE A PIECE OF ONE OF THE MANY CACTI I HAVE IN MY HOUSE. SINCE THEN SHE HAS BEEN LITHARGIC, THROWING UP AND I NEED AN ANSWER WHAT TO DO FAST. PLEASE HELP ME

• Please help!!!

  My 4lb kitten ate a 10mg Valium!! I need help!! She is having trouble using her back legs but is neurologically intact... her pupils are equal and reactive, her respirations and heart rate are normal... I cannot afford emergency vet treatment unless it is a life threatening emergency... please help!!!

• Sore Foot/Leg

  Teddy has been favoring his rear left foot the past few days. It seems to bother him more when he gets up from laying for a while. Some times it appears to be all better as he jumps around and plays, them later he is holding it up for a few minutes till it seems to be ok again? I usually take my pets to the vet at the first sign of a problem but just had surgery myself and not working so cannot afford it right now. I believe he is about 10 lbs over weight.

  my 1 year old beagle is limping, travels from each leg and lasts about one week on each leg. He can run on it and play on it, then will lie down, and limp. He cries in pain at times, gone to vet 2 times, gave us med's, and now wants us to start doing x-rays, any ideas of what is the matter?

  When I fed Ziggy this morning she seemed to be semi paralized, she was standing in one place and couldn't move. When she finally did move - she seemed to have little to no control over her body. She did eat and use the bathroom afterwards.

• kitten anemia

  i think my 8 week old kitten has anemia. i was also told by a lady at a local humanitarians place that she has brain damage. she is also about the size of a 5 or 6 week old kitten. since she is so small she has gotten really lathargic and her gums are pink. i gave her a bath and she had a large amout of fleas on her. what else can i do at home since i dont have the money to take her to a vet at this time???
