my lab has fad an had a shot of depo medrol he is still itchy and has lumps on his nose from bites and when he scratches they bleed, is there anything i can do or just wait for the meds to work an monitor him regularly?

swelling and excessive scratching
Posted on 2008/09/15 by UserMy dog has bad swelling on the tip of her ear and wounds and bald patches on her body from scratching, she has had flea shampoo and a flee collar and nothing is working is there something more serious wrong with her that could kill her?

my 10 month old boxer devolped lumps all over her body. yesterday she had them on her left side that seemed to go away then this morning she was covered with them

Posted on 2008/11/19 by UserMy German Shepherd is approx 16yrs he has had a skin problem that i have treated with benzl benzoate and this has cleared it he has stopped scratching however he is constantly weeing on his bed (something he has never done) and he does not realise he has done it and remains lying in his bed also he wee's in the kitchen during the day and night regardless of going out numerous times. He is loosing his hearing and sight although he does not seem in pain could the constant wetting be something to do with his kidneys or just old age i do not want him to suffer or loose his dignity he is a beautiful old man would having him put to sleep be his only option or can he be helped

My shihtzu sensitive skin
Posted on 2008/12/29 by Usermy shihtzu is 10yrs old with very sensitive skin.I recently applied sergeants squeeze-on gold for fleas and he went nuts..would not sleep, and kept moving and twisting all day,is nervous continuosly scratching and biting his paws,and his back sort of shakes like trembling.His got no fleas, and i think the squeeze-on hurt his sensitive skin. What can I do at home to make him confortable?TKS SO MUCH for yr advice...Gyni

dog vomitting
Posted on 2007/12/03 by AprilHello, My dog is a 2.5 year old beagle dachshund (about 22 pounds). He has always had a sensitive stomach but about 2 weeks ago he woke up in the morning and vomitted about 5 times. I took him to the vet and they gave him pepcid and some other medication. They said we should change his dog food (he was on iams) to something for sensitive stomachs. So we left and the dog slept most of the day and was not given any food for several hours. A couple of days later we started mixing nutro with his iams. He is now just on nutro and loves it but he is still getting sick at his stomach. It happens about 2 times every 2-3 days. The vet mentioned that he might get sick for a month...
