My 12 yr old sweet ol boy has been feeling really bad, he is lethargic, w0n't sit, only lies on his side. won't walk, eat (only selective foods like a hotdog or a piece of chicken etc.)His bones are starting to show. He has a leaky discharge from his private and the same from his eyes (greenish), It's been a week now and he is no better. He's not throwing up and doesn't seem to be hurting just miserable (but i DON'T KNOW)We do not have the money to take to the vet and I know he is old, I just want to make sure he is not suffering. What should I do? I have been giving him 1 aspirin 2 times a day to help.

random itching and scratching

Yeast Infection
Posted on 2008/08/29 by RoxanneMy Shih Tzu Keeps getting a yeast infection on his skin. He has recurrent ear infections as well. We've been using a special shampoo and he's been taking allergy pills. He seems to itch a lot, which causes his skin to break down. When that happens, he develops yeast. He also licks his feet a lot. We're frustrated! Not only do we know he's miserable, we're tired of him licking and itching at night, which keeps us awake. Do you know any "remedies" to help battle yeast infections? Thanks.

red itchy bumps
Posted on 2008/09/02 by Usermy 5 month old dog has red bumps on the leg/arm pits. they look like smalls nipples. i have been cleaning them twice daily with salt water but they are not clearing up. she has had the rash for 5 days. any suggestions gratefully received.

non stop iching/ nothing is helping
Posted on 2008/09/02 by Userhi i have a min pin and i have had her for just over a year now. she is about a year and a half old. she itches constantly unless she is sleeping. the biggest problem areas are under her front arms and eyes and back legs and neck. i have had to spend thousands on her over this past year to try and get her better. nothing has helped what so ever. i have had to keep a cone on her head 100% of the time becuase if i dont the second i take it off she is itching her eyes to the point of bleeding. i can just tell that she is very iuncomfortable 100% of the time. she has not been herself. i have had second opinions by 3 different vets and they all tell me the same thing and test...

Senko - Chocolate Lab
Posted on 2008/09/03 by PatHello, My son's Chocolate Lab has extremely dry skin on his back. It actually is flaking above his fur. We had added a nutritional suppliment (Vita-Derm shed & itch relief) to his food but that seemed to give him extremly soft stools within the first two days, so we stopped it. We have been giving him a bath with a dog shampoo with tea tree in it. This seems to help but a few days later it is flaky again. How often should we bath him with this? Any other suggestions . . . please!! Thank you!
