Pinkish watery diarrhea
Posted on 2008/02/04 by JenMy 16 year old cat vomitted yesterday then began having many diarrhea accidents. The fluid is watery and pink, with little clots of blood in them. I believe it's diarrhea but hard to tell it apart from urine because he's also producing small amounts of stool - that seem normal. I havn't made a trip to the vet yet because I know it's going to be expensive. We recently moved to South Eastern Wisconsin from California and shortly after lost my dog to ethanol glycol poisoning which I am still trying to recover from emotionally and financially. My cat has always been healthy and his appetite is normal. What do you think?

increased in size of abdominal tumor, drinking more water
Posted on 2008/02/06 by UserHi. My 15 1/2 year old cat has a tumor on her left side of her tummy towards her back leg. She has had it for years, but in the last week or 2 I have noticed that it has grown from the size of a grape to a small tangerine size. She also has a tumor/mole on her head, between her eyes that seems to get bigger at times and then seems to shrink a little. We have noticed that she is drinking a lot of water, vomitting up her food more, not quite urinating in her litter box at times. Please help. Thank you.

My Lab has a UTI...and I'm in a bind
Posted on 2008/02/23 by R.A.My dog has a UTI. She had one about 7 months ago and it the vet said that she drinks too much water and it lowered the PH of her urine. It occurred, I believe because she had to hold it too long- a fact which causes me guilt to this day. I had a stretch of a week at work where I was away from home for more than 12 hours. It was a stressful situation, but she was put on antibiotics and it cleared within a few days. As you know, Labs are very tolerant by nature, and that includes pain. I noticed the tell-tale signs on Thursday night-straining, urgency, etc. I lost my job in the mortgage bus. about 4 months ago and new jobs have FINALLY started to turn up; I was...

water drinking increase
Posted on 2008/02/24 by BarbaraRecently he is drinking a lot of water. Is this a sign of his old age ie kidney problems or perhaps something else. I would take him to the vet but I am so tight on money I really can't. He has not lost any weight and still is eating food. Perhaps a little less energy.
