Hi Doctor, For the last couple of days I've noticed wet spots on my carpet. I saw my cat squatting so I know it's her. She's 13 and usually very fastidious about using her litter box which is kept very clean. She not acting like her usual bitchy self but is rather subdued. She is eating normally and drinking a lot of water and the strange thing is that when I clean the accidents up, the normal awful cat pee smell isn't there. It does smell like cat urine but very light. The color is a light yellow with no blood that I can see. I will get her to my vet ASAP but today is a holiday so I'll need to wait until tomorrow. Any ideas? Thank you so much, Tonette Black...

drinking more water
Posted on 2009/06/04 by Usercat (8 years old aprox) has started drinking much more water than normal. Urinating fine (more but seems pain free)... We are worried about Diabetees (sorry for spelling here) and wonder what is best course of action... Hate to spend the $100's it would be to get a test if not necessary... but willing to spend the money if necessary, as Sigmund (our cat) is an important part of our family. Thank you!!!

Lyme or Lymphoma? (lab tests were...
Posted on 2009/06/10 by EdMy dog Abbey is an 8 year old basset hound. In the past week or so she has been very lethargic, not eating, fever, diarrhea, and recently we noticed sowllen lymph nodes in her neck. She was taken to the vet and he said lymphoma and took biopsies of lymph fluid from her neck, nose, and leg. The vet also took xrays of her chest and abdomen. X-rays showed her chest lymph nodes were swollen but not her abdomen lymph nodes. He also gave Abbey an antibiotic shot. Yesterday the pathology report came back inconclusive on all 3 specimens. Abbey has also seemed to have recovered from her other symptoms and is now on oral antibiotics. My question is what does inconclusive...

Posted on 2009/06/17 by UserMy cat seems to be suddenly obsessed with falling water - showers, rain - he yowls almost non stop. He has also gotten very skinny, stools and urination appear to be normal although his appetite seems to cycle from normal to eating very little and back. What could be the problem?
