My 13 year old dog has been throwing up although she has eaten next to nothing for the last few days. She is trembling and loosing control of her legs. Her nose is dry, and her coat is shedding. She is drinking a lot of water and then throwing it up.

Frequent Urination and Drinking Water
Posted on 2008/10/04 by HeatherSebastian has been to the vet and they ruled out diabetes, diabetes insipidus, kidney stones and bladder stones. He drinks a lot of water, constantly and urinates a lot. I got home from work tonight and he had urinated on the floor and couch. He was all wet, where he had urinated all over himself, I guess in his sleep! Any ideas? The vet wants to test for Cushings Disease next.

Puppy sick
Posted on 2008/10/24 by Nickimy dog threw up last night - this morning she was acting normal, just very thristy. When i got home from work today she was extremly lethargic, moved very slow, and her eyes look very strange....almost like she is scared or in shock. the doc did intestinal tests and said nothing was wrong. she barely moves but when she does she will yelp like she is in pain. The doctor touched her all over and she didnt yelp at all. Any ideas about what might be wrong with her? they gave her two medications, an anti-biotic and intestinal pill.

Rash and Irritation with hair loss
Posted on 2007/12/13 by WilliamButch has got terrible raised angry looking red welts on the back of his neck and in between his shoulder blades with patchy hair loss.We have had him at two different vets and they have carried out various tests but all to no avail.It was thought that this may be an infection of sorts and as such he has had two lots of anti biotics.These have not worked either. We have tried Carmosa ointment this also hasnt worked.This is now spreading and looking considerably angrier.My wife has returned to the vets today for a third time.Can you help or advise?

??Brain tumor
Posted on 2008/01/24 by DMy 15 year old Bichon is blind s/p unsuccesful cataract surgery; now deaf - unknown cause; has started barking and wanting something 2-5 times each night. We finally figured out he wanted food - then drinks of water - then to go out He had a grand mal seizure after being upset about getting dried after a bath, none observed except that one. He paces constantly, had a motor deficit episode this weekend that seems to have resvoled except for odd head tilt movements - almost like Tourettes! I am thinking brain tumor - any thoughts?? Diane

Dog ate dried figs, help!!
Posted on 2008/01/28 by UserMy 23 lb. miniature schnauzer ate about 1 1/2 cups of dried figs. He seems to have an upset stomach and wants to go out constantly. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to give him too much water because I am afraid they will expand. Any advice?

My 10 year old female, spayed Labrador retriever has stopped eating for the last 3 days. She wants to drink water all the time and her urine is very dark in color. She also seems to be leaking during her sleep. There is no vomiting evident and she has regular stools (not diahhrea).

Posted on 2008/01/31 by DebbieMittens is a 16 year old long hair domestic cat and has recently started drinking an excessive amount of water and seems to be having a hard time making it to the litter box to urinate. Her appetite is good although she does seem to have lost some weight. Could you advise what could be going on. Thanks
