My 17 year old cat has had 2 episodes about one month apart where he seems to be drunk staggering and loosing his balance. The first one lasted about 2 days and then fine. The second seems a little worse and so far it has been one day and now his head is tilting a little bit. He has no other outward signs. Mentally he is fine. He is eating and drinking.

My Cat is Sick And I am EXTREMELY Worried!!!
Posted on 2009/01/24 by PrestonMy cat is very sick. He is an outside male cat. He has had diarrhea for a while but that was all. We thought it was just his diet so we changed it. Today when I went out to play with him he was having trouble moveing his back legs and was falling all over the place. He was Just fine yesterday. This has happened before. Most of our outside male cats will just suddenly get this to. They will suddenly get so worse that we are afraid to pick them up for fear of hurting them. Then they will nearly die. The within 24 hours of the worst of it they will be perfetly all right and will act like nothing happened. The sickness seems to only affect only our male outside...

problem with my sheltie
Posted on 2009/02/01 by UserOur 13 year old sheltie seemed to have injured a paw and has been limping on it hard for 2 days. Yesterday she became immobile. It seems unlikely that her muscles would have atrophied so quickly. Now she has trouble breathing a times and is totally unable to lift herself up. She is able to take some licks of water if I hold her up, but has not eaten any food and hasn't peed outside, even if I hold her up. I have not idea what could be wrong, but it seems very bad for her. Do you think she is in any pain?
