choco was laying on the floor it appears as though he fell. he looked like he was having a siezure though had dry mouth. he was wiggling alot, i calmed him down by laying next to him on the bed petting him. after the next few which had time between of about 20 min of the same symptoms after witnessing what seems to be uncontrollable muscle spasm like you would see in a siezure there were groans from abdominal area right before hand right before the last two i tend to notice there was a stomach rumble that happened, in which made me believe he wasnt having siezures but it seemed like he was just in extreme pain which made him do the "fish" i walked him outside...

"Pinched Nerve"
Posted on 2009/03/14 by UserI have an eleven year old Beagle that has had disc (spine) problems in past. Left dog overnite with someone and believed person "yanked" dog by collar while walking. When we picked him up he kept his head down and could not push open doors with snout without yelping in pain. We had some prednisone tabs and began treament as before.(About 1 year 6months since rear spine problem) . We are in the process of weening him off, 1/2 tab every OTHER day, and now he wakes up in the middle of the night yelping in pain and cannot use his left front leg, limps badly for about 5-10 minutes. We have to give him pain meds also to get him to sleep. Head tilting in a deaf cat
Posted on 2007/12/07 by UserMy cat is deaf - and has always been so as far as I know. She often tilts her head to the side or right back... also her balance is not that great. She is a rescued cat - and spend most of her time in a cage before I got her. Just curious as to why she tilts her head - and whether there are likely to be any problems causing her to do this? Also, whether her lack of balance and occasional clumsiness are likely to be from deafness or being confined for the first year or so of her life (she was kept in a cage full-time before being rescued by the SPCA

Injured cat
Posted on 2008/03/05 by UserHi, last night as my boyfriend drove out his car, my cat was underneith, she ran and we couldnt find her till this morning. She is breathing poorly now through her mouth wich is open all the time, is hurt next to her mouth, her one side of face is swollen up, her one eye is just showing black pupil, above her eye the hair is torn away. There is dry blood at her nostrils. The rest of her body seems fine and she moves fine, just this breathing noises ect. She doesnt want to drink water or eat. It is impossible for me to get her to a vet now as i dont have transport. I am really worried, dont know what i can and cant do, if fluids is a good idea? If i should try and wash...
