Eyes

  • I got my kitten fixed less than a month ago, and since he came back, he has been getting sores on his face, around his mouth, and when he gets these sores, his eyes swell up a bit [not enough to obstruct his vision, but enough to be noticable], and he gets eye discharge. His ears are waxy, and the wax is a dark brown color. He gets sores on his body that resemble psoriasis or excema outbreaks. His fur covers the sores though. The past few days he has had diarrhea and been vomiting on and off, but he has been drinking, and I know he isn't dehydrated, I think he might have tried to eat a plant out in our front yard or something. However, I am worried that it...

  • We have taken our Kitty to our local vet a couple of times to get Jasimine checked out...Both times the answer was allergy to the food we were feeding... We have changed food and giving her Duck and Peas (small cans bought at the Vets office) for about 9 weeks now and do not see an improvement. She acts fine and is in good health, except for the sore ears (which she does not complain about or itch) and the scab on the tail. Any ideas ? thanks Karl

  • Dog cross eyed

My dog all of the sudden has crossed eyes. He has never had crossed eyes, and I was wondering what would cause it. Also, after seeing his eyes I was examining him and found a swollen spot in his right earflap. When I feel the earflap it makes him uncomfortable. Anyway, does anyone know what might be causing these symptoms? He is a Black Lab about 5 years old.

  • Dog with watery eye

My 6 year old black lab is sick. She has one eye that waters continuously. The light bothers it and she won't let me touch it. She also has blood in her mucus. She has so much mucus that she is constantly snorting it and licking it off her nose. She sleeps all day and doesn't excited about anything anymore. She is losing weight and doesn't eat much. This has been going on for a month and the vet doesn't know what it is. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

  • Can't jump up on couch or bed

I have a very active Jack Russell. For about a week now he is having difficulty jumping. He is six years old. When I pick him up he winces. He usually can jump over 4 feet.

  • My eight year old boy started loosing weight a couple weeks ago, and i also noticed his inner eyelids are swolen, or showing, covering half of his eyes. he sleeps all the time, usualy lying on his side. he has no energy at all, and wasent eating verry much. he was on dry food, but he seems to eat more if i give him the wet food, so thats what iv been doing. I have seen the vet 2 times now for this, and hes not better yet. bloodwork was done, as well as an xray, he is on antibiotics and eye ointment. the xray shows that he has an enlarged heart, but the vet dosent think this has anything to do with the symptomes. h was also given an antibiotic shot, a b12 shot and some...

  • Dog unable to stand & head tilt

My dog is taking enalapril for his heart, a bronchodilator theo-dur, previcox for his arthritis & optimmune to produce tears for his eyes. His health has been declinging in the past year. In the past 6 mos, he only gets up to go outside & to eat. Which I contribute to loss of stability in his hind legs. I recently made a ramp to assist him in going outside which still required assistance by a family member. He's been vomiting off & on lately. Other than going outside to the bathroom & eating, he no longer mobile. This morning I went to assist him to go outside & noticed he had vomited & urinated on his area of the rug.
