1 y/o Husky, white w/ blue eyes. Cat scratched dog in the eye on Dec 24. That night and the morning of the 25th dog kept eye closed. evening of 25th eye was fully opened again, vision appears normal. Original color of eye was light blue. Now eye is a yellowish/golden color. Could the scratch have somehow changed the pigmentation of the eye or will this clear up in time ?

guinea pigs (not sadie)
Posted on 2007/12/27 by julieEvery time we get guinea pigs (we always get 2) they live for a few months maybe a year and they die. They don't eat or drink much if at all, their eyes become dull and sink in and they eventually lay on their side with shallow breathing. They blead through their but as we discover when we go to burry them. They got clened out every 3 days. We have a rabbit inside as well as Zebra Finches and a dove. They all are in one room. We tried disenfecting the cage and even let it sit for a year and a half before getting any more. Our rabbit isn't affected at all. Any ideas what might be happening and is ther any point to getting new ones?

I have a cat who is about one, maybe one and a half years old. I've had him since last September, but only recently has he started sneezing. It's been a few days, and he's also got a slight wheeze sometimes, as well as really watery eyes. I've also noticed he has some kind of a scab on his paw, which he has also favored/limped on since we've got him. This is also new. Could the two issues be connected? Also, he is an indoor cat. A very lazy indoor cat. He doesn't really put on weight, no matter what, or how much he eats. This really worries me. Please help.

Sick Border Collie
Posted on 2008/02/05 by NadiaHi! I have a boarder collie (7yrs old) who has recently been vomiting a yellow-green, thin film of some sort of muscous. His eyes were also a bit muscousy for a few days. His eating habit has been fine, and his demeanor has not changed. Should I take him to the vet, or should I just change his diet or give an over-the-counter medication? I changed his food to Avoderm but that was about a month ago.

My 11 year old female black lab has been sneezing, sometimes uncontrollably, the past 2 days. She seems to also have a fever. Do dogs get colds and if so, should they be taken to the vet for treatment?

Weepy Iriitated Eye- 1 1/2 year old indoor cat
Posted on 2008/02/10 by ErinFor approx. the past 2 hours, my cat's right eye has become weepy, and she can not open it in the light. It began rather abruptly and looks slightly red, which appears to be from rubbing & irritation. In a darkened room she is able to open it, but in the light she shuts it almost immediately and it starts to weep. I did notice she has been making sneezing noises this week, which I haven't heard since she was a kitten...I was also using cleaning products around the house today, but have never seen this reaction from her. Her behavior has been the same (playful, eating, drinking etc.), and physically I didn't notice any other differences. I tried to flush her eye...
