  my 5 year old female lab mix was swimming in fresh water and now she has a red blotchy rash on her tummy and is licking a stop on her back alot and shedding profusely. ANy suggestions to what it might be?

  Ok. i know i have to take him to the vet, and i will but i cant right now because its too late at night, but can anybody give me some insight. I just bought a puppy and he's been acting strange lately. I hope its not the case, but i think he might have early stages of rabies. I want to get close to him sometimes to comfort him, but am scared because of my assumption. here are his symptoms. -he looks depressed. -he keeps away from my family and hides in lonely dark places -doesn't play around like he did the first few days. -doesn't want to eat anything anymore -he can hardly stand up, his legs look weak. -he has just recently started to cry a lot as if he's in...

• Pain

  my dog was being defient when he was on my leash and just kept sitting down. So i kept dragging him. Now i'm worried that i might have injured him. Everytime i pick him up he cries. I pin pointed the injury to his left front leg. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it until i pick him up.

  I have an 11 year old, weighing 6kg, female west highland terrier. she recently began to have tremors and not being able to walk very well on her back legs. the tremors last about 4 minutes, and her breathing increases to panting and she begins to drool. and then she seems to be very weak and tired once the tremor has passed. i took her to the vet and he prescribed her diazepam 5mg to be taken twice a day. However i live in egypt and was only able to find it in a form of a pill. i am now concerned that she is getting worse. she can hardly walk, has unfocused eyes and her nerves seem to twitch. the vet told me that this is a longterm medication for a few weeks, until the...

• Whats wrong with my canary?

  My Canary has been making strange Clucking and squeaking sounds since yesterday, I recently got him back from my Ex-boyfriend and I don't think he looked after him properly. When he came to live with me he had a bald spot on the nape of his neck and two weeks on he started making the sounds I mentioned and also puffing himself up more than usual and also breathing faster - he just doesn't seem himself at times, more inactive. I took him to the vet after I heard the sounds and she treated him for mites and worms. He also seems to have gone through a moult - it’s starting to get cold here. Should I be concerned about that too? Thank you, Eve (Durham, England)

  My puppy has been limping for the last few days and won't put any wait on her rear leg. Now she's lost her appetite. She usually poops several times per day and hasn't pooped in at least 4 days. I can't afford to take her to the vet. What should I do?

  Hello, I have a CAG who is about 2 years old. i traveled for 2 weeks during which a friend of mine was taking care of him. however, the parrot was transferred to my friends house for a couple of days. when i came back, i noticed the Silvester ( my parrot) was not talking any more and he had smelly and brownish watery poop. his appetite did not change, however, he was drinking a of water and was a bit restless, screaming frequently even in my presence, which was not the norm. this situation has been going on for a week now. the poop seems to be polyuria more that diarrhea; however i cant confirm. i am in Nigeria and i don't know any vets around. your help is highly...

• guinea pig losing wieght

  help, my guinea pig Rosie has been losing weight, fast and her eyes are crusty. She has been hiding away in her shelter, every day. Although, she seems to be eating and drinking just fine. This happened to one of guinea pigs a while back, she died a few weeks later. please help me before its yo late.
